  • A Joyful Return to Play: Pigeon Point Playground Reopens in Beaufort! Yesterday, the City of Beaufort proudly celebrated the grand reopening of the Pigeon Point Park Playground, and what a fantastic turnout we had! This beloved neighborhood park, shaded by iconic live oaks and cherished by generations of Beaufort families, now features brand-new, modern, and safe playground equipment. The upgrades bring new life to the park while preserving its natural beauty and the canopy of trees that make it such a special, shaded retreat. We’re especially grateful to our incredible Public Works team, who continue to maintain this park with care and dedication, and to our Capital Improvements team for their expert project management throughout the construction process. The new playground represents more than just fresh equipment, it's a renewed commitment to creating safe, welcoming spaces where our community can gather, play, and thrive. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to mark this exciting milestone. If you haven’t had the chance to visit yet, we invite you to stop by and enjoy all that the new Pigeon Point Playground has to offer!
