📣 Last week, Mayor David LaGrand issued a proclamation recognizing National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. This year’s theme, “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” highlights the rich history, culture and ongoing contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. The proclamation honors their resilience, advocacy and the many ways they have helped shape and strengthen the Grand Rapids community.
