  • The City of Marietta is proud to announce that its Finance Department has received a distinguished milestone recognition by reaching $3 million in surplus sales of assets. This honor recognizes the Purchasing Division’s important work that has generated significant additional revenue, supporting the City’s exceptional services while not burdening our residents and businesses with additional taxes and charges. Through an online auction platform designed specifically for government agencies, the City has been able to efficiently and transparently sell surplus, obsolete, or confiscated assets. By leveraging this system, the Purchasing Division has streamlined the disposal process across all City departments, resulting in more than $3 million in recovered revenue from buyers across the United States. These funds directly support the City’s general operations, providing a valuable supplement to existing revenue sources and helping sustain essential services for the community. The City is proud to acknowledge the Purchasing Division and celebrate this milestone achievement, which highlights its ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility and innovation in financial management.

  • It was a beautiful morning for the Land Dedication Ceremony celebrating Marietta’s 7th Public Service Housing Program home! The City is proud to partner with NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to provide another safe and affordable home in Marietta for one of our dedicated public servants. The future homeowner, Mikailah, has served as a Police Service Representative with the Marietta Police Department for three years. This project is especially meaningful as it is a Habitat Women Build home, primarily built by women volunteers, and marks an important step toward providing Mikailah and her family with a forever home in Marietta.
