Webster Groves Announces Deputy City Manager of Community Vitality The City of Webster Groves is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bookless as the new Deputy City Manager of Community Vitality, effective August 25, 2025. Mr. Bookless brings extensive experience in community development, planning and zoning, and economic development, and will play an instrumental role in delivering on the City’s planning and resiliency priorities. Currently serving as the Interim City Administrator for the City of Arnold, Mr. Bookless is no stranger to Webster Groves. Early in his career, he worked for the City as a planner, gaining firsthand insight into the values and strengths that define the community. His return marks a meaningful homecoming and a renewed commitment to the City’s future City Manager Dr. Marie Peoples expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment, stating, “David’s deep understanding of municipal planning and his passion for community engagement make him an ideal fit for this role. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to Webster Groves and look forward to the leadership he will bring to our resiliency and infrastructure initiatives.” Mr. Bookless will officially begin his new role on August 25, 2025.
