The New Employee Bus Tour gives our newest team members a front-row seat to the facilities and services that make Eden Prairie a standout place to live and work. It’s a chance to connect, learn and see our city in action — and yes, it’s a lot of fun, too. Huge thanks to our in-house tour guide, David Lindahl, for sharing the inside scoop, and a special shoutout to SouthWest Transit - MN for getting us around town in style!

  • Yesterday, we celebrated Sgt. Tom Lowery’s retirement after 25 years of dedicated service with the Eden Prairie Police Department. From serving on SWAT and leading the department’s traffic safety efforts to launching our Unmanned Aerial Systems program in 2018, Sgt. Lowery consistently pushed forward initiatives that made Eden Prairie safer. His work strengthened partnerships across the region, advanced traffic safety awareness, and built one of the state’s leading UAS teams. Sgt. Lowery’s passion for public safety, mentorship and innovation leaves a lasting legacy. We are grateful for his service and wish him all the best in retirement!

  • National Police Woman Day Today is National Police Woman Day, a day that acknowledges and celebrates the contributions and achievements of women in law enforcement. • Today, we bid a fond farewell to our incredible recreation manager, Lori Brink, as she retires after more than 11 years of dedicated service to Eden Prairie. Lori’s leadership has touched every corner of our community—from the Art Center, Outdoor Center and Senior Center, to performing arts, athletics and youth programming. She has brought art to our public spaces, developed countless new recreational opportunities for people of all ages, and guided our Parks and Recreation team with care and resilience. If you’ve enjoyed a community event in Eden Prairie—whether it was the Fourth of July Hometown Celebration, PeopleFest!, Arts in the Park, Harvest to Halloween or Winter Blast—you’ve experienced Lori’s vision and dedication in action. Thank you, Lori, for your creativity, passion and heart. You’ve made Eden Prairie a brighter place, and your legacy will be felt for years to come. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done!

  • Starting the school year with the right supplies can make all the difference for a student’s confidence and success. That’s why the Back-to-School Supplies Program, led by Eden Prairie Schools is so important — it helps ensure every student has what they need to learn and grow. This year, City of Eden Prairie employees donated 221 school supply items, including backpacks, notebooks and more. Each donation will go directly to Eden Prairie students in need. Being part of this community-wide effort, alongside local businesses, nonprofits, churches and individuals, is a great reminder that we can all make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors when we come together. Here’s to another successful school year and supporting every student’s path to a bright future!

Wishing students, families and teachers all the best as they make this school year one for the books — we hope it's filled with new adventures, big dreams, and plenty of fun along the way!

  • Earlier this season, we asked some of our staff about their favorite summer activities. Their answers showed us just how many unique interests and passions we have across our team — and gave us a fun glimpse into life outside the office. Here’s a look at how we made the most of summer!
