This past weekend, the Temporal Taal Collective had the privilege of performing with the Charlotte Symphony at the Festival of India. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when orchestras and communities come together to celebrate culture and create shared experiences. Our sincere thanks to Toni Sawhney, David Fisk, Christopher James Lees, Scott Freck, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Charlotte Symphony, the many Festival of India volunteers, and the administrative and operations teams at the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Their vision and dedication made it possible for this concert to resonate far beyond the stage. For us, the evening underscored how orchestras can serve as bridges between traditions, welcoming new audiences while deepening connections with existing ones. Live Broadcast Announcement! Thanks to the generous support of Bragg Financial, WDAV will host a live broadcast of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra's performance of Brahms' A German Requiem on November 23 at 7:30 PM. In his first concert as the Charlotte Symphony's Music Director, Kwamé Ryan leads the combined musical forces of the Charlotte Symphony, Charlotte Master Chorale, and two soloists in a poignant interpretation of Brahms's inspiring and hopeful masterwork.
