CDPHE is proud to join with our fellow @USClimate states to announce major progress toward reducing climate pollution. We’ll continue to lead on climate to deliver a safer, healthier future for all. Learn more: bit.ly/Alliance-NYCW25
🌎 📉 Across our Alliance, we’re slashing climate pollution while growing our economies. Today at #ClimateWeekNYC, we released new data showing that our states and territories have collectively reduced net greenhouse gas emissions 24% below 2005 levels, while increasing their collective GDP by 34%. The figures, updated to reflect progress in 2023, continue the coalition’s trend of declining emissions over the last 18 years and put its near-term target of reducing net emissions 26% by 2025 within reach. We shared the news at a convening led by Alliance Governors Kathy Hochul and Matt Meyer alongside top state officials from across our coalition. From Alliance Executive Director Casey Katims: “While the federal government moves to stop measuring pollution, deny science & obstruct climate action, the Alliance & its members are relentlessly pressing forward.” 📢 Read our full announcement: https://lnkd.in/ek3ayuZY
