🧠 New PTSD Trial in Primary Care A recent randomized trial found that in primary care settings, both trauma-focused therapy (written exposure therapy) and SSRIs for PTSD are feasible and effective. For patients who didn’t respond to an SSRI, switching to an SNRI led to greater symptom improvement than adding written exposure therapy. 👉 Practical takeaway: Integrated primary care teams can confidently offer SSRIs or brief trauma therapy—and should plan for a switch (e.g., SNRI) if the first‐line SSRI doesn’t work. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eubsGV8s
