The Carpenters UBC 3rd Year is an International Training Center (ITC) program designed for seasoned apprentice carpenters to develop leadership, professionalism, communication, and technical skills to enhance their careers and the overall success of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America (UBC). Participants attend programs to sharpen their skills, understand the importance of professionalism and productivity, and build connections with members from across the country, preparing them for future leadership roles in the construction industry. Part of this event is a contractor Q&A panel discussion, where apprentices engage in meaningful conversations with industry professionals, including contractors, superintendents, and project managers. CCC had the pleasure of having Interiors General Superintendent, Matt Michaluk, sit on this panel to provide a unique opportunity for apprentices to ask questions, gain insights into employer expectations, and understand what it takes to advance within their trade. #CCC #Construction #Carpenters

We're showing the next generation what that means with hands-on construction experience, introducing them to the endless opportunities of the skilled trades. Recently, we got to work with some amazing students from Brandon High School at our Build Your Future event in September, showing them a world they may not have known even existed! “They were able to go up in the crane, they were able to weld outside. High school students will have that long-lasting effect. Every student had a great time, it was all hands-on," said Mason DePottey, welding teacher and district Career Technical Education Coordinator.
