I had such a great time in NYC at Conductor's C3 2025 conference! Thank you to everyone who came to my and Sam Billetdeaux's session on creating content at speed! We really appreciated the engaged crowd. It was so helpful to hear from other speakers, panelists, and Conductor folks about how they're adjusting tactics and measurement goals to adapt to this new AI-heavy search landscape. My biggest takeaways: - SEO isn't dead. The same tactics that drove SEO success set you up for AEO visibility. Know your audience, bring value - that hasn't changed. - Your KPIs have to change to coincide with audience behavior changes. Reporting only on organic traffic isn't going to help you improve or capture your visitors. - Get comfortable with the tech side of SEO, if you aren't already. Schema, robots.txt (or even llms.txt), log file analysis, and other more technical pieces are critical to understanding AI visibility.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN BRAND TRUST IN THE AGE OF AI? That was the question put to the fascinating panel that I was on last week Conductor along with Lou Cohen EY, Anthony Daronzio Publicis Groupe, Renata Hetland, MBA Philip Morris International and very well moderated by Linda Gharib 🌎Wolters Kluwer. Some of the answers included: - Transparency - Living by a brands' values no matter what - Developing excellent content - Knowing what the audience needs and wants - Busting myths And so much more. As we all experiment, test, innovate, and discover, we should always correct the lies (hallucinations) and bias that can be inherent in artificial intelligence tools. In that way, hopefully the apps will "learn" whats true and accurate and what isn't. A girl can dream anyway! ✨ What I Learned This Week at C3 2025 I had the privilege of speaking at the Conductor C3 Conference in New York, on stage alongside leaders from the Boston Globe Business, Datadog, and Uberall. We discussed one big question: How do brands win in the era of AI search? A few quick takeaways 👇 💡 Visibility isn’t about ranking anymore - it’s about representation. “If you don’t define your brand for AI, it will define you.” 🧭 Content must be structured for machines and meaningful for humans. “We stopped writing for people and search engines - and started writing for the AI that connects them.” 🤝 Authority now comes from connection, not content. “If Google was the librarian, AI is now the storyteller - and your job is to make sure your brand is written into that story.” Always fun to run into new and alumni of L'Oréal too — Carlos Spallarossa, Grace Edinger, and Jessica R., great to see you again!
