I had the privilege of being a mentor at the Baltimore Business Journal’ Mentoring Monday, and it was truly an amazing experience. I just got back from an unforgettable few days in Miami at the Govcon Giants Summit. A huge thank you to Eric Coffie for hosting such an incredible event. The connections, the insights, and the shared experiences—it was everything we needed and more. One of the standout moments for me was seeing Robert Swain with Swain Enterprises take the stage and share his journey. Hearing him talk about building a veteran-owned business, navigating the challenges, and finding ways to give back was so impactful. It was also amazing to see my friend Layli Pietri from Balfour Beatty US and Kelvin Caple from Clark Construction Group up on stage as panelists. They both brought so much knowledge and perspective to the conversations. And let’s talk about the yacht party—what a way to wrap up an incredible summit! Great people, meaningful conversations, and amazing views. It was a perfect reminder of how much this community has to offer, both professionally and personally.
