International campaign to reduce human suffering, armed violence and conflict through international arms control.
About us
Control Arms is a global civil society alliance of over 100 nonprofit, charity, and nongovernmental organizations from around the world committed to bringing the irresponsible trade of arms and ammunition under control. For the past 10 years, Control Arms has advocated for the adoption of a bulletproof Arms Trade Treaty: a global, legally binding agreement that will ease the suffering caused by irresponsible transfers of conventional weapons and munitions. With the creation of the UN Arms Trade Treaty in April 2013, Control Arms is now advocating for the rapid entry into force of the mechanism and encourages all countries throughout the world to sign and ratify the instrument.

RECOVI and Vision GRAM-International urgently call for an immediate halt to the violence devastating communities in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. We strongly condemn the attacks, displacement, and arming of civilians and children. We urge all parties to respect international humanitarian law and call on the international community to act in line with the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons (UN POA) and the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
