When I started CoolxDad it was more than just an idea — it was a dream rooted in purpose. I wanted to build something I never had growing up: a space where fathers, especially those often overlooked, could be seen, celebrated, and supported for showing up every day. That dream continues to grow — and on June 14th, the day before Father’s Day, we’re hosting An Evening in Real-Time, CoolxDad’s second annual fundraiser and celebration of fatherhood. This year we’re honoring Ed Ryland, CCIM, MCR, LaRonn Harris, Christopher D. Porter, Phillip Yates, and Quentin Smith as our 2025 Real-Time Award recipients — these men exemplify presence, purpose, and power in how they lead their families and their communities. These brothers remind us that showing up isn’t just a personal act — it’s a cultural one. This evening is more than a fundraiser. It’s a full-circle moment. A night that brings together husbands and wives, friends and neighbors, corporate partners and community leaders — all in celebration of what fatherhood can look like when it’s nurtured, recognized, and uplifted.
