Congratulations to Dr. Pinkey Patel, Founder and CEO of Myri Health (Google '24/Techstars '23), on being named an Equity Advocate in Rock Health’s Top 50 in Digital Health 2025. This recognition highlights Dr. Patel’s leadership in advancing equitable maternal healthcare and her continued impact through Myri’s AI-driven platform. Cortado is proud to celebrate this achievement and support Myri’s mission to make maternal care safer and more inclusive. #MyriHealth #DigitalHealth #MaternalHealth #HealthEquity #Leadership #RockHealth #InnovationInHealthcare #CortadoVentures #VentureCapital #FundingtheMidcontinent #Startup #investment #FinTech #entrepreneurs #VC #OKC #OklahomaVentureCapital #OKCVCFirm #Innovate #CortadoPortfolio
We’re honored to share that our founder, Dr. Pinkey Patel, has been named to Rock Health’s Top 50 in Digital Health 2025 as an Equity Advocate. This year’s honorees represent some of the most respected innovators, builders, and leaders advancing healthcare, and we’re humbled to be in their company. At Myri Health, we know that maternity gaps are equity gaps. When complications go undetected, when support disappears after birth, or when outcomes hinge on where a mother lives, the cost is felt across families and systems. This recognition strengthens our commitment to building the infrastructure mothers deserve: technology that predicts risk, prevents complications, and delivers safer outcomes at scale. Thank you to Rock Health for shining a light on equity as a driver of true innovation. #Top50inDigitalHealth #HealthEquity #MaternalHealth #DigitalHealth

NextGen innovation is looking bright in Oklahoma City! Our team was proud to once again sponsor and volunteer at Innovation Week, hosted by OKC Innovation District! This annual event welcomes over 1,500 OKCPS middle school students for a week of hands-on STEM learning, interactive exhibits, and inspiration from across Oklahoma’s innovation community. For many students, it was their first-ever visit to the Science Museum and we loved seeing their curiosity light up. Huge thanks to Carly Collins, Mickey Loveless II, Peyton Walter, and the entire OKCID team for organizing such a meaningful event. And to our fellow sponsors, Arnall Family Foundation, Boiling Point Media, Science Museum Oklahoma, Metro Family Magazine, Rose State College, OK Shirt Company, Presbyterian Health Foundation, Greater OKC Chamber, Tinker Federal Credit Union, Mercy Hospital, Beck Design, OK Oil & Natural Gas, and Love's Travel Stops thank you for helping make it happen. Oklahoma’s future innovators are already dreaming big, and we’re proud to be part of their story. Lumata Health’s latest study highlights the real-world impact of their Continuous Care model, showing measurable improvements in patient adherence to vision-saving treatments. By identifying and addressing barriers like transportation, knowledge gaps, and cost, Lumata has helped more patients stay on track with critical eye care. The data shows significant gains in visit retention especially among high-risk populations. This is innovation with purpose, building systems of care that make lasting change possible. Landon Grace #CortadoVentures #VentureCapital #FundingtheMidcontinent #Startup #investment #FinTech #entrepreneurs #VC #OKC #OklahomaVentureCapital #OKCVCFirm #Innovate #CortadoPortfolio #LumataHealth #HealthTech #VisionCare #ContinuousCare #HealthcareInnovation #PreventBlindness #CortadoVentures
I’m excited to share some big news today. Lumata Health's latest study shows that our Continuous Care model is making a real difference in keeping patients on track with vision-saving treatments. Highlights from the research: For every 100 patients, Lumata enabled 89 additional retina-specialist visits and 72 additional intravitreal injection visits compared to matched controls. That’s a 17% lift over the typical year-to-year attrition. Nearly 98% of patients reported at least one barrier to care, and 75% had two or more, including things like knowledge gaps, transportation issues, or financial challenges. In their first year with us, 70% of patients had at least one barrier fully resolved. Patients over 85 years old, who face the highest risk of vision loss, saw some of the greatest gains. The message is clear: stopping preventable blindness isn’t just about better drugs — it’s about making sure vulnerable patients are able to access and adhere to those vision-saving treatments. Too many patients fall through the cracks because the system isn’t built to support them. At Lumata, our mission is to close those gaps with proactive, data-driven, wraparound care that keeps people engaged and protected. To all our physician partners, patients, and supporters: thank you for believing in this vision of continuous care. I invite you to read the full press release and learn more about how we’re working to preserve vision for people with chronic eye disease.
