Data shows it clearly: internal risk matters as much as external threats. According to the latest 2025 Insider Risk Report, 77% of organizations have experienced insider-driven data loss in the past 18 months, most of which was unintentional. In a recent TechNadu article, Cowbell’s Matthieu Chan Tsin, Ph.D., SVP of Resiliency Services, underscores that tackling insider risk isn’t just about technology, but how it’s about culture, policy, and ongoing vigilance: “Companies must integrate a comprehensive strategy that combines technological tools, strong internal policies, and continuous employee monitoring.” He points out the importance of defining clear AI usage guidelines and balancing detection with trust. New data shows 59% of SMEs have experienced cyber attacks, putting the spotlight on growing threats and the question of whether mandatory reporting should be required.
