#FlashbackFriday to when CPC Hong Ning Housing and the Hong Ning Tenant’s Association hosted a special haircut event ✂️ for 20 older adults. It was more than just a haircut but a day of community, connection, and care.

We are excited that CPC Brooklyn Older Adult Center was featured on 'Good Day New York' on FOX 5 New York this morning! Our Xinjiang Dance Team and Rising Star Choir will be representing our center and competing tomorrow in the Grand Finale for the Department for the Aging's 'Talent is Timeless' competition. CPC partnered with Caribbean Equality Project at the 4th Annual Governor’s LGBTQIA+ Convening in Albany. 🌈 Gilbert Wu, Director of Community Health Services, and Samantha Kombel, Health Educator Supervisor, represented CPC. They discussed policy changes, mental health resources, equitable funding, and community-led strategies to effectively serve LGBTQIA+ youth.

CPC and City Tutors held a Economics of Wrestling Mentorship Event at CPC One, where students came in curious about wrestling and gained real-world insight into the business side of sports entertainment. Here’s what they had to say: 🎤“From strategy and branding to finance and media production, it truly opened my eyes to the wide range of opportunities in the industry.” - Srey Ka Theap, a Risk Management master’s student at Queens College. 🎤 “I was impressed with how prepared and genuinely curious all the attendees were.” - Brian R. Solomon, a former WWE media professional and wrestling historian. 🎤 “Wrestling with contradictions, adjusting to ever-changing circumstances—that’s the nature of a wrestler. Residents at CPC Hong Ning Housing for the Elderly and CPC Norfolk Senior Housing are joyfully taking part in the Golden Tea Program! Facilitated by our partners from Tea Arts & Culture, the workshop series creates multi-sensory and social tea experiences for seniors to connect with each other through the art of tea. Facilitators provide opportunities for conversations and storytelling, as well as enriching learning experiences together. #communitypartnerships #communityconnections
