Last week, we brought a few friends and new faces together for an intimate night of real conversation. A decade into this work, one thing remains clear: the best ideas emerge when different kinds of leaders share space. For one evening, we celebrated community, healthy competition, and true collaboration; people who’ve taken the long way, stepped into rooms that weren’t built for them, and continue telling stories only they can tell. Grateful to everyone who showed up [and those who wanted to]. Evenings like this always reaffirm our commitment to cultivating our community.

We hit the road all October for an HBCU homecoming tour, activating at some of the most vibrant tailgates from Hampton to Howard, NCA&T's #GHOE and SpelHouse. Our goal was to create a presence that felt authentic, intentional, and rooted in community. What We Did: → Developed a unified visual identity and messaging framework across campuses → Designed on-campus activations that connected Google's mission with HBCU legacy → Created custom school patches (using Google's new "Whisk" tool) so students and alumni could personalize fanny packs and rep their school pride → Built a scalable brand architecture adaptable across universities The Result: Google's Legacy Lab; a blueprint for how brands can show up meaningfully in spaces. This work represents what happens when strategy, culture, and creativity come together on the ground. Thank you to the school, students, and alumni for allowing us to join in the celebrations!
