Databricks reposted this
After many years of investing in DATA & AI we were announced as leaders of leaders in Gartner Magic Quadrant on Data Science and Machine Learning (yes, the Databricks is the dot top top on the far right!). This has been a long journey. Many years ago Gartner told us we would be in the Niche (bottom left) quadrant. We were very upset. Over time we worked hard and moved to the Visionary (bottom right) Quadrant. Every year, Gartner would survey what AI capabilities all enterprises want, survey what all competitors are doing, and grill us on 100s of capabilities that we were lacking. They also would relay to us customer feedback that was not so complimentary. Every year we would go back to the drawing board and change our roadmaps and work with customers to build those capabilities. Finally after many years, we now have a DATA + AI platform that fuses the critical user journeys that enterprises need to succeed with DATA + AI. Thank you Gartner and all the brilliant analysts there for making us better.

Legacy data architecture can drive up costs and hinder decision-making due to siloed data. Most companies have moved from on-premises data lakes to modern cloud architectures. But what if you are ingesting more than 10 petabytes of data per day, and managing 100 million petabytes across your network? See how AT&T orchestrated a complex data center migration and yielded 300% ROI: https://lnkd.in/gAZF-r8N

When migrating your data warehouse, do you replicate what exists or reimagine it for the future? This is an architectural decision that typically comes down to two core approaches: - Move workloads as-is to accelerate the migration - Redesign the platform to unlock long-term efficiency and scale We break down the tradeoffs of each and why a hybrid approach may be the key to long-term success: https://lnkd.in/gPYaYBzV
