  • ️⭐️United Spotlight presented by Systems Planning & Analysis ⭐️ Meet Jack Graham, Director of Facilities Q: How did you get your start in sports? A: After college I was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles to play minor league baseball, and got to go back to Aberdeen, home of the IronBirds, to start my front office career when my playing days were over. Shout out to Cal & Bill Ripken! Q: What's your favorite thing about your job? A: I love when all of our preparations and hard work comes together and the building works perfectly for all fans to have a safe, clean, fun matchday experience! Q: Why D.C. United? A: I was excited to join DC United after 10 years in baseball because the Operations and Facilities team here has a strong culture of hard work, preparation, communication, and excellence. It's a tremendous opportunity to be part of a team that helps to put on not only DCU matches but also Washington Spirit, DC Power FC, DC Defenders, and a ton of other cool, fun, exciting, important events at Audi Field.

  • The fourth Twinning Project cohort is in full swing inside D.C.’s correctional facilities. In partnership with the Twinning Project and the DC Department of Corrections, our coaches lead bilingual sessions twice a week that teach teamwork, leadership and life skills through soccer both on the field and in the classroom. Now in the second half of the eight week program, the 19 participants are leading and coaching one another through “plan, do, and review” as they learn and grow together. What started as a divided group is now united. Their team name, 202 United (202 Unidos), says it all.

  • ⭐️ United Spotlight presented by Systems Planning & Analysis ⭐️ Meet Leo Edwards, Senior Vice President, Partnership Sales Q: How did you get your start in sports? A: After finishing my college football career, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take in life. Sports had always been central — I grew up playing, watched my brother compete at the collegiate level, saw my cousin make it to the Chicago Bears, and admired my uncle’s legacy as a legendary coach in Illinois. Inspired by that foundation, I decided to pursue a career in sports. I started with no contacts, no built-in sponsorship from executives, and no shortcuts. What I did have was work ethic. I committed myself to four internships and went on a mission to become the best business executive my abilities and determination would allow. The Chicago Bears gave me my first internship, and from there I’ve built a career by pushing forward, step by step, with the same discipline and competitive drive I learned on the field.   Q: What's your favorite thing about your job?  A: My favorite part of my job is without a doubt the people I get to work with. I thrive on collaborating across different departments and industries, learning from diverse perspectives, and bringing those ideas together to move the business forward. I truly enjoy inspiring, teaching, and coaching others—helping people reach their full potential is not just rewarding, it’s energizing. At the same time, I love the challenge of developing unique and innovative strategies that directly impact our revenue and long-term growth. For me, the best moments are when I see both the people and the business grow side by side. The people make the work fun, meaningful, and exciting, and I’m thankful every day that I get to do what I love with a team I respect and enjoy. Q: Why D.C. United?  A: For me, this is an incredible opportunity to not only build on the proud legacy of one of Major League Soccer’s founding clubs, but also to help shape its next chapter. D.C. United has always represented passion, resilience, and community — qualities I deeply connect with. What excites me most is the chance to bring innovative ideas to a team with such rich history, while creating new revenue streams and partnerships that fuel future growth. It’s rare to find an organization where tradition and ambition intersect so powerfully. D.C. United embodies that balance — honoring its championship past while also embracing the possibilities of what’s next. Being part of that journey is both inspiring and motivating.
