DCIU is looking for an experienced and well-rounded Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Orientation & Mobility Specialist. Several responsibilities of this role include: 🔹Deliver direct instruction and consultation to students with visual impairments, supporting their academic, social, and functional goals. 🔹Collaborate with instructional staff, diagnosticians, ophthalmologists, optometrists, parents, and community agencies to ensure appropriate accommodations and services are provided. 🔹Participate actively in the development and implementation of Evaluation Reports (ER) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), contributing to goal setting and progress monitoring.
