“Together we can strengthen meritocracy and diversity in Nordic business.” On 15 October, we concluded the third edition of Getting Women on Board, a programme designed to promote gender diversity on Nordic company boards. This year’s group met three times, twice in September and for the final session on October 15, gathering 33 participants as well as alumni alongside representatives from nomination committees, institutional investors and private equity for discussions, insights and networking. Tony Elofsson, CEO Sweden & the Nordic branches, DNB Carnegie, says: “As the leading investment bank in the Nordics, we have both the responsibility and the unique position to drive positive change in board diversity. I strongly believe that diverse teams at all levels are essential for success. The participants in this year’s programme have been handpicked for their strong operational experience and leadership across industries. Together we can strengthen meritocracy and diversity in Nordic business. Real change starts at the ownership level and active owners make a real difference.” A warm thank you to all speakers and contributors for sharing their expertise and experiences: Anders Oscarsson, Anna Hallberg, Carl Svernlöv, Emelie Norborg Friberg, Erik Laestadius, Erika Henriksson, Helene Willberg, Johan Hjertonsson, Johan Ståhl, Leif Johansson, Lena Olving, Lena Österberg, Magnus Johansson, Magnus Tyreman, Maria Grimberg, Marianne Nilsson, Patrik Hofbauer, Patrik Tigerschiöld, Peggy Bruzelius, Simon Blecher, Sophie Tolstoy Regen, Susanna Campbell and Tony Elofsson. Getting Women on Board aims to promote gender diversity on the boards of Nordic companies. The programme targets experienced female executives and serves as an accelerator for a career as a professional board member – connecting participants with nomination committee members, board professionals and owners, while enhancing their strategic perspective and boardroom insight. We look forward to welcoming the next group of participants to Getting Women on Board in 2026!
