We’re proud to share that Dole has been recognized with the Sustainability in the Food Industry Award by The Shelby and Griffin Report for our Participatory Watershed Management Project in Honduras. Developed in collaboration with Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School and local partners, the initiative strengthened climate resilience and water stewardship across the Olanchito region. Through this effort, 230 families gained access to clean water and over 1,200 hectares of land were restored or protected. More than 500 students participated in environmental education programs. “The Watershed Management Project in Honduras exemplifies how we combine science-based approaches, local partnerships, and community engagement to protect natural resources and deliver long-term value for people and the planet,” said Rudy Amador, Vice President, Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability & Communication for Dole Tropical Products Latin America.
