Framers, if you’re wondering how Dusty stacks up, here’s the rundown: 🔹 Speed Dusty lays out 2X faster than any other solution—and 10X faster than tape measures and chalk lines. 🔹 Accuracy Twice as accurate as the rest. You want layout that’s dead-on, not just “good enough,” right? 🔹 Blindspot printing When a wall line crosses into a tracker blindspot, other layout robots skip the whole line. Dusty prints every part of the line it can, which in many cases includes the part in the blindspot. 🔹 Obstacle smarts On every job, there’s something not in the plans. Dusty is the only layout robot smart enough to recognize those obstacles, and figure out how to print your layout around them. 🔹 Real support Other companies sell through resellers. When something breaks, good luck. With Dusty, you get our team. Direct. Responsive. Reliable. Like... an actual partner. 🔹 Ease of use "It’s easier than the [previously used] digital layout tool. Didn’t take me very long to learn.” -- Anthony Deromedi, Foreman, Dale Construction, LLC. Get automated layout that works like your crew does: fast, tough, no excuses. #FieldPrinter2 #RealWorldLayout #FileToField #AutomatedLayout #FramingLayout #WallsAndCeilings #RobotsInConstruction

About us
Dusty Robotics is the best solution to ensure design integrity in the field through automated layout and a streamlined BIM-to-field process. Dusty delivers a combination of hardware, software, and services that fit seamlessly into existing construction work processes by printing digital models directly on the jobsite floor with 1/16" accuracy based directly on Revit or AutoCAD models. Dusty has enabled contractors to print over 100 million square feet of layout across thousands of buildings and is trusted by leading general contractors such as DPR, McCarthy, and Skanska as well as trade contractors in framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

"When people look at Dusty, what they see is the robot. That's the coolest part of our system, but it's only ONE part." -- Tessa Lau, Dusty's Founder/CEO. Dusty's #FieldPrintPlatform is actually an end-to-end #FileToField solution. It includes hardware AND software that all comes together to move information from the model, to the physical jobsite -- and even back to the office again. #FieldPrinter2 #AutomatedLayout #RobotsInConstruction
What if every construction site had a robot ensuring perfect accuracy? The future of automated layout is already here. Find out more in episode 41. Guest: Tessa Lau, Founder & CEO at Dusty Robotics 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gYcWGEJz #construction #robotics #SoCPodcasts

Automated layout solutions that can't lay out the framing around your MEP stub-ups aren't actually solutions. That's where you need accurate, complete layout the most. When you're ready for #RealWorldLayout for real-life jobsites, get Dusty. #FieldPrinter2 #FramingLayout #WallsAndCeilings #AutomatedLayout #RobotsInConstruction

This week, our team will be collaborating with Tolles Career and Technical Center and Double L Engineering to conduct hands-on demonstrations for student in the Construction Technologies program. To kick things off, we started with a presentation on Dusty Robotics. We were thrilled to provide these students with an up-close look at emerging technologies, particularly automated layout. Dusty laid out the building demonstration that we will guide the students through this week. We will continue to share the students' progress as the week unfolds! #morethanbuildings #acpohio #buildingthefuture

7000+ people listened to my story at #ICRA2025, packing into the auditorium and listening intently. The energy at the conference was fantastic. This conference felt like AI conferences in the early days. It feels like a Cambrian explosion of robot platforms, parts, and students. And a sizable number of those students want to start their own robotics company. In my talk, I emphasized the WHY of robotics. I founded a company because I want to change the world, not just build cool sh*t. I encourage every aspiring robotics founder to find the problem first, the one that keeps you up at night wanting to solve. Don't start with the technology. Robots are a tool to solve a problem, not the end goal. Once you find the right problem, success follows. To all those who would build robotics companies, I encourage you to focus on your WHY. Focus on the problem you're solving, and for who. Figure out your business case. And then go forth and build successful companies. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
✨Join us at #ICRA2025 to hear from plenary speaker, Tessa Lau, CEO & Co-Founder, Dusty Robotics! She will present the talk, "So you want to build a robot company?" 📆 Wednesday, May 21 | 1:45-2:45 PM 🔗 Read the full abstract here: https://loom.ly/N-F285Q #Robotics #Automation #ICRA #IEEE

At ENR FutureTech, one theme rang loud and clear: robotics in construction aren’t “the future”—they’re the present. Here’s what sets Dusty apart in this new era of automation: 🔹 Bridging digital and physical. VDC is great, but doesn't help anybody if the information stays in the model. Dusty prints the model directly onto the floor, helping field teams build with confidence and clarity. 🔹 Jobsite-ready. Construction jobsites are unpredictable, chaotic, and full of blindspots—literally. FieldPrinter 2 is built to navigate real-world jobsites and still get the job done. It's used every day on hundreds of active jobsites across North America. As AI and automation become more embedded in construction workflows, the companies making a real impact will be the ones solving practical problems at scale. That’s where we fit in. 📖 Read the full ENR recap: https://lnkd.in/gXyHQs8Y #ConstructionTech #RobotsinConstruction #ENRFutureTech #AutomatedLayout #RealWorldLayout #FileToField Engineering News-Record

Control is everything. If your layout isn’t anchored to accurate control points, you’re building on a shaky foundation. #FieldPrinter2 prints exactly what’s in your model, to 1/16" accuracy. It doesn’t “fudge” things to make them fit. Instead, you align your digital layout to the physical jobsite by setting control—before a single line hits the slab. But how do you actually set control points? Turns out, there’s more than one way—and the method you pick affects your risk, accuracy, and field workflow. We broke it down: 📐 What is control? 📏 Why does it matter? 🔧 How do different layout methods stack up? 👉 Read the full breakdown: https://lnkd.in/gdXzyyCm #LayoutControl #ConstructionControl #AutomatedLayout #LayoutMethods #RobotsInConstruction #FileToField

"Layout is communication." Scott Yohe from Dale Construction, LLC nailed it on stage with Jon Yochum at the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) Construction Technology Expo. He shared how Dale leveled up their layout workflow—embracing Dusty's automated layout to help their field crews build faster and better. Why focus on layout? Because it’s how you communicate what to build, where, and when. And Dusty delivers that communication with more speed, accuracy, and completeness than any manual method—translating your BIM model into full-scale layout, printed right on the floor. Fewer errors. Less rework. Field teams with total clarity. ▶️ Read Dale’s full story (link in comments). #ConstructionTech #AutomatedLayout #FieldPrinter2 #FieldExecution #GBCAExpo #ConTechExpo
