Proud to share that our team “Hack4Health” Shabbeer Basha Syed Amir Pasha Abhaya Ladalla and I participated in the Hackathon at the University of North Texas! 🩺💡 We worked on an idea that could truly make a difference in healthcare — Health Agent, an AI-powered assistant that automates the entire medical documentation process, from voice recording to structured clinical notes and professional PDF reports. 💡 We wanted to solve a real-world problem — Doctors spend nearly half their time typing notes and filling EHRs instead of focusing on patient care. Nurses often get delayed updates on test orders and next steps, and medical students rarely get access to real-world cases due to privacy restrictions. 🧠 Our solution uses LLMs to transcribe and summarize doctor–patient conversations into the SOAP format — Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan — ensuring all key medical details are captured clearly and efficiently. Health Agent helps: 👩⚕️ Doctors save time with automated summaries 💉 Nurses get instant updates on test orders and instructions 📚 Medical Students learn from anonymized real-world case summaries We were glad to see our idea well-received by everyone — from judges to mentors and fellow participants — who appreciated its practicality and potential to make a real difference in healthcare. Day 1 at the Mainframe Technical Exchange Conference 💻✨ Today was an incredible experience — truly insightful and inspiring! I got to learn so much about mainframes — their enduring importance, evolution, and the immense opportunities they still hold in today’s tech ecosystem. We explored several amazing booths like Code4z, UX Support, Beyond Code, and Technical Documents — every single person at those tables was so kind, encouraging, and genuinely excited to share their knowledge. And after visiting all those booths, I even got to win a cap 🧢, which made the day even more fun! Got to meet Chandrasekar Rengarajan , who was absolutely amazing — motivating, inspiring, and full of wisdom. His insights about the mainframe ecosystem and career growth truly left an impact. Then I met Shiva Saberi , who shared detailed guidance on what online courses we should explore as new graduates and how to start our mainframe journey. Her positive energy was contagious — and it wasn’t just them! Throughout the day, every professional we spoke to radiated the same positivity, encouragement, and genuine willingness to help us grow. I was also happy to be one among the very few young participants there — it was inspiring to interact with so many experienced professionals who were genuinely supportive and eager to guide the next generation into the mainframe world. I also attended some insightful sessions on AIOps, Automation, and New to Mainframe — and each session left me with something new to take away, whether it was about emerging tools, technologies, or the broader vision for the mainframe future. Most importantly, I would like to sincerely thank Dr Sharad Sharma for giving us this wonderful opportunity to attend the conference. His constant encouragement to explore, learn, and connect beyond the classroom is what makes experiences like this so meaningful. Day 1 at the North American Mainframe Technical Exchange Being one of the youngest attendees at the Broadcom Mainframe Software Conference was such an incredible experience! I walked in thinking mainframes were outdated but within just two hours, I was completely proven wrong. I realized how powerful, secure, and reliable they truly are, forming the backbone of some of the world’s most critical industries, from banking to healthcare. I was genuinely enlightened by the experts there their passion, depth of knowledge, and willingness to share were inspiring. The Broadcom team made us students feel so welcome and guided us on how to get started with mainframes in the real world. Throughout the day, we attended eye-opening sessions on AIOps & Automation, Enterprise Storage for Beginners, and even explored complex systems like WatchTower each session left me amazed by how innovative mainframe technology still is today. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to learn directly from such brilliant professionals and to connect with inspiring mentors. Special thanks to Shiva Saberi ,Chandrasekar Rengarajan and Gwendolyn Moon for their guidance and encouragement throughout the day, grateful to Dr. Sharad Sharma for giving us this opportunity. "When brilliant minds meet, innovation becomes inevitable." 💫 That’s exactly how it felt at the AI & Data Science Executive Summit 2025 hosted by Anuradha & Vikas Sinha and the Department of Data Science at UNT Frisco! It was an inspiring day filled with powerful conversations, innovative demonstrations, and meaningful networking all centered on shaping the future of AI and Data Science. From generative models to human-centered AI systems, the sessions explored how technology can empower, not replace, human intelligence. One highlight of the day was the panel on Responsible and Generative AI, featuring experts who shared insights on ethics, transparency, and trust in AI systems across industries from healthcare to business applications. Hearing diverse perspectives on how organizations are ensuring responsible AI adoption was truly thought-provoking. I also had the opportunity to present my project and poster during the Student Showcase, where I got to share ideas and engage in discussions with professionals from Amazon, IBM, NTT DATA , Amazon Web Services (AWS) , and Hitachi. It was both humbling and motivating to connect with such innovative minds. Inspirations were the order of the day at the AI and Data Science Executive Summit 2025. The AI and Data Science Executive Summit 2025 was an extraordinary event, which has taken place at the Anuradha and Vikas Sinha Department of Data Science at UNT Frisco. The summit united the community of enthusiastic professionals, researchers, and students to discuss the changing reality of AI, data-driven innovation, and human-oriented intelligence. The conference was laden with enlightening keynote speeches, stimulating discussions and thought-provoking panels on subjects such as Generative AI, ethical AI systems, trust, and agentic intelligence. It was indeed intriguing to listen to professionals talk about how industries are taking responsibility of AI to make some meaningful human difference. It was also my privilege to present my project and poster at the Student Showcase, during which I could exchange ideas with professionals of IBM, NTT DATA , Toyota Motor Corporation ,Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Hitachi. It was a motivating and enlightening experience.
