  • Congrats to Abbie, our August DAISY Award recipient! A colleague said, "Abbie is one of those rare nurses who just gets it. As a new grad, she already brings an incredible amount of skill, grace, and compassion to her role. She’s especially amazing with patients who require patience and understanding. Abbie handles those situations with such calm and kindness that it’s genuinely inspiring." We are proud to partner with DAISY as we have extraordinary staff at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. • Congratulations to Catherine, the August 2025 recipient of The Lily Award! One of Catherine's colleagues said, "Catie often says she’s “just a HUC,” but she is so much more than that. She has a heart of gold and cares deeply. I know without a doubt both staff and patients alike are cared for when she’s around." This award symbolizes the hard work and dedication of a Health Unit Coordinator or Patient Service Representative who exceeds in technical skill, supports and coordinates efficient teamwork and portrays a welcoming and respectful regard for patients, families and visitors. • PGA TOUR Superstore in Farragut had a record-breaking year in 2025 raising funds and awareness for our hospital through their annual Play Yellow campaign with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The one store alone raised over $20,000 for our hospital this year making them the highest fundraising store in the country and raising almost double the previous national record for this partner. We are so grateful for our friends at PGA TOUR Superstore that not only fundraise for our hospital during this month-long campaign, but also go above and beyond for our community. They donated gifts and prizes for our annual golf tournament (& played in it!) as well as donated golf clubs to a couple of our ambassadors who are learning to golf! We could not do what we do without community partners like PGA TOUR Superstore.

  • Congratulations to Stacey, the August BEE Award recipient! A staff member said, "While floating to the NICU, a patient's mother came to visit her babies and found that their onesies and swaddles had accidentally been sent to laundry along with hospital linens. Stacey was cleaning the patients' room and heard what had happened. She immediately went down to laundry to sort through all of the laundry that day and find the missing clothes. Stacey went above and beyond to help this family and to comfort this mom by finding treasured items. She is a shining example of the ways that our EVS employees put so much work and thought into caring for our patients." The BEE Award is an East Tennessee Children’s Hospital unique honor that recognizes any non-clinical staff member who goes beyond excellence at ETCH in their role to support patients, families and/or other co-workers. • Congrats to Jenna, our June DAISY Award recipient! A patient said, "Upon my admittance to the ER due to a low white blood cell count, this nurse immediately stuck out to me. Not only did she go out of her way to explain everything to me and my anxious mom, but she took care of me and knew what I needed before I even had to tell her. Her personality is perfect for her job, and I can tell she truly loves what she does. I was actually devastated at shift change when she had to go home, and she went out of her way to stop and check on me before she headed out. Not only that, but she also knew I had been admitted to stay and she came up to check on me after her shift the following day. I will never forget the impact she had on me in such a scary situation, and I am so thankful she was my nurse; I believe that she was sent from God to take care of children and placed in my room for a reason." We are proud to partner with DAISY as we have extraordinary staff at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Join our amazing team by applying today at www.etch.com/careers.
