Fusion energy is moving forward at our Bull Run site in Anderson County, TN, just north of Knoxville. Type One Energy has submitted Tennessee’s first fusion licensing application, marking an important step toward the Infinity One project. This partnership between Type One Energy, TVA, and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation paves the way for the state’s first commercial fusion plant, strengthening America’s energy security and keeping the Tennessee Valley at the forefront of innovation. 🇺🇸 More info: http://tva.me/y88m50Y5A7Q

Hello #ETECcommunity. This morning’s #ETECFridayMornings conversation reflected the growing national focus on energy, security, and infrastructure, and Tennessee’s leadership in advanced and nuclear technologies. U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn and Brandon Williams, Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration, spoke about how we are turning long-term priorities into real progress. Here in the Oak Ridge Corridor, that progress includes significant momentum in nuclear energy alongside strong partnerships across the region’s broader innovation ecosystem. That combination of leadership, execution, and community is why Tennessee continues to lead. #ETECFridayMornings #ETEConline #ETECEvents #OakRidgeCorridor #NuclearIsHERE #AdvancedNuclear #Energy #Infrastructure #WorkforceDevelopment #TennesseeNuclearNetwork #ETECTN2 #TN2

Yesterday, Tennessee Valley Authority welcomed U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer to the Cumberland Fossil Site outside downtown Nashville for a firsthand look at how reliable power and workforce development go hand in hand. The visit highlighted the people and training programs behind the energy systems that keep Tennessee running, especially during moments of extreme weather, and reinforced TVA’s long-term commitment to building the next generation of skilled energy workers. This focus on talent, infrastructure, and reliability is part of the broader ecosystem that supports Tennessee’s nuclear and energy leadership, including the work advancing through the Tennessee Nuclear Network. #NuclearIsHERE #ETECcommunity #NuclearEnergy #OakRidgeCorridor #AdvancedNuclear #NewNuclear #NuclearWorkforce #TennesseeNuclearNetwork #ETECTN2 #TN2 #TennesseeNuclear
