At East West Bank, high performance and helping our community reach further go hand in hand. Last night at our Pasadena headquarters, we honored our local first responder community for their tireless efforts keeping our community safe. We also presented two contributions from the East West Bank Foundation to the Pasadena Police and Fire Foundations in support of their ongoing community partnerships enhancing public safety and fire prevention. Thank you to Chief Gene Harris and Chief Chad Augustin for your dedication! And a big thanks to our local community friends and Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo and City Manager Miguel Marquez for attending. #EWBcommunities #EastWestBank #firstresponders #publicsafety

Going pink for the cure! Team EWB, led by Irene Pi, SVP-Consumer & Business Banking Regional Manager and Angela C., SVP-Head of Houston Commercial Banking, proudly participated in our 2nd year supporting the fight against breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen foundation, joining over 8,000 Houstonians for this meaningful community event. The annual Race for the Cure brings communities together to raise awareness and critical funds to help those impacted by breast cancer. We’re honored to stand with our community—and with our very own Maria Mendez—in raising awareness and hope. Photo Credit: Black Frame Photos

Bold flavors. Real impact. 🍽️🌍 We are proud to highlight Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger — the legendary chefs who became household names as the "Too Hot Tamales" on Food Network, where they brought regional Mexican flavors to life in nearly 400 episodes. In 2018, they made history as the first women — and first duo — to receive the Julia Child Award at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Today, Mary Sue and Susan still innovating with two new restaurants — SOCALO Santa Monica and Alice B. Palm Springs — and a growing service business, Feedfolks, now expanding with support from East West Bank. In an exclusive interview, they share how their journey as entrepreneurs, innovators and advocates has shaped the culinary world and inspired change far beyond the kitchen.
