Chef Devon Quinn is sharing one of the coolest spring ingredients we’re working with, Norwegian spruce tips. Foraged in Traverse City and packed in Ellis Family Farms honey from @greencitymarket to naturally ferment, these tips carry wild yeast and develop incredible depth and complexity over time. Tickled Pink’s story started 20 years ago with a promise to keep my cousin and best friend, Carrie Kenney’s, memory alive. After losing Carrie to breast cancer at just 35 years old, I knew I had to do something—to turn heartbreak into action. That’s how Tickled Pink was born. What began as a small fundraiser has grown into a movement, raising over $3 million to support early detection and prevention of breast and ovarian cancer. Now, in 2025, we’re evolving. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we’re proud to partner with Chicago Foundation for Women to expand our mission—supporting economic security, safety from violence, and access to health services for women and gender-expansive individuals across Chicago. This month, we honor Carrie’s legacy and the incredible community that has made Tickled Pink what it is today.
