Thank you to the AIA Design for Aging Knowledge Community for hosting a powerful and engaging breakfast session focused on advancing #intergenerational living in aging-supportive environments, “AIA Design for Aging Breakfast Panel – Providers' Perspective on Intergenerational Design." This panel brought together industry leaders—including Jeffery Beegle, CHEC (3 Pillars Senior Living Communities), Vassar Byrd (The Kendal Corporation), Andrew Carle (Georgetown University), Dave Fulcher(Trinity Senior Services), Steve Lindsey (Garden Spot Communities) and Sarah Gregory, AIA LEED/WELL AP(dwell design studio, llc)—to explore how thoughtful design can foster stronger connections across generations. Moderated by Cynthia Shonaiya, AIA, LEED AP of Hord Coplan Macht, the conversation offered real-world insights and strategies for designing inclusive, #multigenerational communities. We’re grateful for AIA’s continued commitment to innovation, inclusion, and the future of senior living. #EFAcon #AIADesignForAging #AIADFA #DesignforAging #SeniorLiving

At this year’s #EFAcon in Lexington, the Ageless Living Collaborative, in partnership with Samuelson Furniture, awarded the Ageless Living Collaborative Scholarship to two outstanding emerging professionals in the field of design for aging. Carlie Garrison was recognized onsite, with the award presented by ALC co-founders Phoebe Stein and David Ashen, alongside Lawrence Chalfin, President of Samuelson Furniture. Although the second recipient, Deborah Oluwade, couldn’t be on stage in person, she was warmly celebrated by all in attendance. Thank you to the Ageless Living Collaborative and Samuelson Furniture for championing the next generation of leaders in the aging design community!
