My phone was blowing up yesterday with texts from friends: "Omg Elavi is in a viral Youtube video that has MILLIONS of views" I panicked - is this going to be good PR or bad PR? Popular Youtuber Drew Gooden returned from his 3-month hiatus to share a deep-dive on protein snacks, titled: "The internet made me obsessed with protein." Elavi's protein brownies 🤭 - "This brownie is incredible" I guess this is how you know you have product-market fit. Create a product so innovative and delicious that it speaks for itself. We didn't pay for the feature or hire an expensive agency. We didn't fabricate hype in a video to fake virality. We just obsessed over creating a really amazing product. What I appreciated most is that Drew called out that our protein brownies aren't crazy high in protein...and that's why they tasted so good. Elavi's brownies are 10g protein each (which is still 5x higher than a Little Debbie's brownie!) but so delicious he went through 2 boxes immediately. And that's often the tradeoff for 20g+ protein snacks - unpalatable taste or a really gnarly stomach ache. It’s moments like this that remind me: taste *is* the innovation.
