  • For decades, Americans have observed Black History Month in February. This year’s Black History Month is especially meaningful, as 2026 marks a century of Black History observations across the United States. At Eliot, we view Black History Month as a time to celebrate and uplift Black individuals and communities and to recognize Black pioneers in the fields of mental health, behavioral health, and human services. Trailblazers like Bebe Moore Campbell, Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark, and Dr. Francis Cecil Sumner made possible the work we do today. As we reflect upon our field’s past, we at Eliot renew our commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health, behavioral health, and human services that integrate each individual’s cultural and ethnic background. This month also provides an opportunity for us to sustain our commitment to being an equitable employer, where our staff know their backgrounds and lived experiences are viewed as assets. Our staff’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths, and we will continue to strive for our workforce to reflect the communities it serves–thereby amplifying our impact and outcomes. Looking to the future, Eliot strives to continue providing the best care for every child, family and individual we serve, celebrate our employees’ diversity, and work to build systems that transform lives and strengthen belonging and empowerment.

  • Part 2 of our Youth Behavioral Health in MA series is live. In Part 2, we focus on FIT (Family-based Intensive Treatment), why it matters right now, and how FIT fits into a more connected continuum alongside CSA and CBHC services. We also unpack two ideas that can make a real difference for families: -Warm handoffs (so families don’t have to start over at every transition) -Family-systems care (because kids can’t be treated in isolation from the environments and relationships they live in) Read Part 2 here: https://hubs.ly/Q041Q_fH0 Up next: Part 3 is a practical guide for schools, pediatric offices, community orgs, and municipal partners—how to connect families to support and reduce friction in referrals.

  • Massachusetts families are navigating a youth behavioral health landscape defined by rising need—and a system that can feel confusing to access when support is needed most. We’re sharing a 3-part series to break it down and highlight how Eliot is strengthening a clearer path to care—especially through CSA expansion and deeper integration across services. Part 1 is live now: https://hubs.ly/Q040H34g0 Up next: Part 2 focuses on FIT, warm handoffs, and family-systems care—and why continuity matters for outcomes. #YouthMentalHealth #BehavioralHealth #Massachusetts #CommunityCare #EliotInspires

  • When things escalate at home or school, families shouldn’t have to manage it alone. Eliot’s new Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) program brings a unified team to support youth where they naturally are — home, school, and community. What makes FIT different: *Intensive, flexible, and time-limited (typically 4–6 months) *24/7 urgent response for therapeutic stabilization *Focus on communication, routines, safety planning, and skill-building *A shared plan of care built with families and clinicians *No Wrong Door intake, smooth transitions, and warm handoffs to next-step supports FIT works closely with Eliot’s CSA care coordination and CBHC services to keep families connected to the right level of care—before crises escalate further. ✅ No waitlist ✅ Now accepting referrals: https://hubs.ly/Q03_J-_X0 #ChildrensMentalHealth #BehavioralHealth #FamilySupport #InHomeServices #SystemOfCare #MassHealth

  • Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke the words below at Spelman College in 1960, and today, more than 65 years later, we honor his message of justice and perseverance. This Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, we at Eliot and MSPCC renew our commitment to moving forward toward an equitable world in which all children, families, individuals, and communities have the support they need to thrive. We pledge to continue to advocate for communities across the Commonwealth, uplift those most in need, ensure that our services are accessible and effective for all who need them, and reflect and celebrate the rich diversity of the Commonwealth. Thank you, Dr. King, for inspiring us all.

  • Join Team Eliot for the 10th Annual Winter Walk Boston on Sunday, February 8, 2026! We’re walking in solidarity to help end homelessness — and this year Eliot has achieved formal Winter Walk Program Partner status, which means proceeds raised by our team will directly support Eliot’s homelessness and housing programs. Together with our unhoused neighbors, advocates, and service providers, we’ll step onto the Boston Common to raise awareness and vital funds for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We’re walking to show that compassion is stronger than stigma — and that change is possible. Support our team. Join the movement. Help build a future where everyone has a place to call home. 📅 Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026 ⏰ Registration: 10:00 AM 📍 Boston Common 🔗 Join or donate to Team Eliot: https://hubs.ly/Q03-3wmB0 #WinterWalkBoston #EndHomelessness #HousingForAll #TeamEliot #Boston #EliotInspires

  • Throughout the holiday season at Eliot, our teams have been sharing generosity, connection, and joy 🎄✨ Across the agency, staff came together in meaningful ways. Here are just a few examples: ❄️Through the MSPCC holiday gift drive, Eliot staff “adopted” families to help make the season brighter for children and caregivers across our programs ❄️Teams from Adult Mental Health & ACCS collected food and cooked hundreds of holiday meals for ACCS clients in Acton and Lynn, as well as members of Elm Brook Place Clubhouse ❄️The Family Resource Center hosted multiple holiday and Santa events, welcoming hundreds of community members from Everett, Saugus, Lynn, and surrounding towns ❄️MSPCC Healthy Families staff in Lowell gathered to celebrate the season together, taking time to connect, reflect, and enjoy community with one another These moments reflect what Eliot is all about — compassion, teamwork, and meeting people where they are. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the season so special. 💙 #InspiredToMakeADifference #CareInAction #EliotCommunityHumanServices #HolidaySeason

  • Where Healing Meets Hope — Real Impact at Eliot’s Community Behavioral Health Centers At Eliot Community Human Services, we believe access to compassionate, high-quality behavioral health care should be timely, family-centered, and grounded in trust. Recently featured in our community spotlight, a family’s journey through crisis to confidence highlights the real difference our CBHCs are making in Massachusetts. A mom shared how her daughter found emotional stability, self-advocacy, and joy again — and how the care extended beyond clinical support to strengthen their entire family. 👉 Wraparound supports like clinical care, care coordination, and systems navigation help families in moments when help matters most. 👉 CBHC teams work with individuals AND families to foster long-term resilience and connection. 👉 In a system that often leaves people waiting, swift and compassionate care is not just a service — it’s hope realized.
