Thank You, EASD Staff! While graduation season often shines a spotlight on seniors, younger students are celebrating big milestones too! Meet Brooklyn Johnson, a fourth-grader at Akron Elementary, who wrote and delivered her own heartfelt speech to the entire school, including her fellow Class of 2033 Mountaineers, before they move on to the Intermediate School next year. Well done, Brooklyn! Your voice and leadership are inspiring!

Today, 8th grade students stepped into the spotlight to present their ideas as part of their “Invest With Me” Cornerstone Project! Each student created a hypothetical business concept, working across multiple subjects to bring their ideas to life—from calculating profits, to researching supply and demand, considering environmental impacts, and developing presentation skills. After months of hard work, collaboration, and creativity, several students presented their pitches to a panel of community representatives, “Shark Tank”-style! A heartfelt thank you to our guest panelists for volunteering their time, expertise, and thoughtful feedback. Their real-world perspective and encouragement made this experience meaningful and authentic for our students. We are so proud students’ hard work, growth, and courage in sharing their ideas. The future is bright—and possibly full of successful young entrepreneurs!
