The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues to lead the way in pavement preservation. Since 2019, Ergon Asphalt’s chip seal emulsions have helped NMDOT districts win Best Chip Seal Project awards. Meet Kenario Epps, one of our newest Energy & Specialty Solutions (ESS) Customer Support Specialists. Kenario attended Jackson State University, where he studied Secondary Education. In his position at Ergon, he answers customer inquiries, schedules orders through a network of logistics and processes purchase orders, striving to meet the needs of our customers. While working alongside his #ErgonFamily is one of the highlights of his role, Kenario appreciates that every day presents new opportunities to help someone. “Each case you open is a mystery that needs solving,” he said. “There is always something new to learn.” Thank you, Kenario, for all of your hard work. Meet Aura Martinez! Aura received a degree in International Relations from Universidad del Norte. With a background in logistics, Aura is now a Customer Support Specialist on our Energy & Specialty Solutions Team, where she serves as a key contact for our customers. Her days include managing orders, tracking shipments and ensuring smooth and timely deliveries to our customers. Aura shared that her favorite part of this role is knowing that her work supports our customers’ needs. “I appreciate being part of a family-oriented company that values the employees,” she said. “I also love how helpful and amazing everybody is.” Thanks for all you do, Aura! It’s officially race week! Ergon’s Pink Up The Pace 5K is this Saturday at Mirror Lake Plaza in Flowood, Mississippi. Join us for a 5K Walk and Run and Kid’s Fun Run, with all proceeds from the event benefiting the American Cancer Society. Zach Young has been promoted to President of Ergon Terminaling. Starting his Ergon career in 2014 as a Project Manager, Zach has served in multiple roles including Senior Project Manager, Terminaling Regional Manager and VP – Ergon Terminaling. With facilities throughout the United States, our Ergon Terminaling Team receives, stores and loads products for customers in the chemical, asphalt and oil industries. Congratulations, Zach! Meet Alexis Patterson, Customer Support Specialist for Ergon's Energy & Specialty Solutions business segment. Alexis attended Delta State University, where she studied Wildlife Management. Alexis’s journey at Ergon began when she spent summers working part-time at our refinery in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where her dad was employed. After graduating from college, she joined the #ErgonFamily as a full-time employee. Alexis now spends her days assisting sales representatives and customers with meeting deadlines and a variety of other tasks to ensure customer satisfaction. “I am extremely appreciative of the opportunity I have to work in Customer Service, so I strive to show appreciation through my work ethic,” shared Alexis.
