Two weeks ago, we celebrated Esperanza’s amazing community of support. These newly received photos capture the spirit of the evening (thank you, @Jonathan Hale!) and give us the perfect opportunity to say thank you once again. The night was a powerful reminder that this work is made possible by people who care deeply, our volunteers, pro bono partners, interns, staff, and supporters who show up in so many meaningful ways. We are honored to work alongside you. Interested in getting involved through volunteering, community partnership, internships, or pro bono support? We would love to connect. You can also help sustain and grow this work with a gift of support. Make a contribution: https://lnkd.in/gbYSNPZ Thank you for being part of this community and for your continued commitment to immigrant justice! #CommunityAppreciation #Esperanza #ImmigrantJustice #VolunteerEngagement #ProBonoService #CommunityPartnerships

Thank you Jillian Hebert and Fragomen for the continued support. We look forward to collaborating and serving the immigrant community together in 2026.
In a year where Los Angeles has been in the spotlight for immigration issues, organizations like Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project are truly indispensable. Their hard work, dedication, and optimism in the face of an urgent and rapidly changing immigration environment make them every day superheroes. Fragomen Los Angeles has been proud to partner with Esperanza to support our neighbors in need and we look forward to continuing our partnership in 2026. Adeline Daher and I were happy to attend their end of year event last week. Special recognition to Scott Ventrudo, Heidy Pineda, and Liza Lucia Thoms for their hands-on efforts. We couldn't do it without you! Thank you for all you do! "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." – Margaret Mead

“All individuals — regardless of immigration status — share in the rights guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment.” This principle, underscored in a recent federal ruling and highlighted by University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law professor Ingrid Eagly and Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project attorney Steven Shafer, anchors their new Los Angeles Times op-ed on the mounting barriers immigrants face in securing access to legal counsel. As they note, the administration is now undertaking plans for the largest detention and deportation operation in U.S. history—backed by $170 billion over the next three years—further heightening the stakes. Their timely analysis brings needed clarity to both the constitutional questions and the human consequences of policies that restrict access to attorneys. At Linda Vista Communications, we supported the strategic and editorial development of this piece and remain committed to amplifying courageous and essential perspectives that strengthen public understanding and uphold democratic values. Our legal and holistic services teams work together to ensure that program participants receive not only expert legal advice and litigation, but that they have access to food, housing and mental health services as they’re going through the legal process. Esperanza is not only defined by its work in the community. It is shaped by the people that are part of our team. Our team consists of attorneys, paralegals, and social service professionals. Collectively we strive to offer support to our clients that is rooted in empathy and a desire for justice. Our legal fellow, Jonathan, is driven by his family’s experience with deportations. His family’s story has driven him to be the best legal advocate for his clients. His dedication and commitment to his cases bring hope to his clients that are often find themselves disheartened by the cruel immigration system. We are thankful for Jonathan’s contribution to our Esperanza team. Your donation to Esperanza will allow us to continue providing legal fellows with the hands-on experience that will shape their future as immigration attorneys. https://lnkd.in/gbYSNPZ
