“It’s like insurance. Unless you meet with an accident, you don’t truly value it. A lot of businesses feel the investment is not adequate because the board sometimes does not realise the amount of risk we are taking,” says Abuzar Manager. Beyond cyber threats, single-vendor dependency in cloud and infrastructure environments presents another hidden risk. A lot of the focus today is on rushing into the cloud for the sake of it, with the assumption that operational costs will automatically go down.
