With peak fire season on the horizon, the State of California is launching a statewide wildfire preparedness campaign. ETIC has developed and implemented fire prevention plans aimed to improve defensible space around structures. CAL FIRE recommends a minimum of 100 feet of defensible space, including trimming trees, cutting grass, and removing dead vegetation. #wildfireawareness #wildfirepreparedness #wildfireseason

ETIC successfully completed the Corralitos Creek Water Intake and Fish Ladder Emergency Repairs Project. ETIC was tasked with repairing damage to the structure’s components by heavy storm water flows to protect the drinking water supply and safe passage for endangered fish species. Construction activities included dewatering, installation of a creek flow diversion system, installation of vegetated rock slope protection, replacement of concrete energy dissipators, installation of a cast-in-place concrete wall, and site restoration. ETIC is pleased to announce the addition of Principal Engineer Wenqian Dou, PhD, PE to our team. Dr. Dou has over 18 years of engineering and environmental consulting experience in remedial design and implementation, urban redevelopment, and regulatory agency negotiations. Her specialties include Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) programs, facilitating land development entitlements, leading site remediation activities and securing regulatory approval for development. The addition of Dr. Dou strengthens ETIC’s remedial consulting and engineering capabilities. Welcome to the team, Wenqian!
