And today, on National Farmers Day, we are taking a moment to honor and thank every farmers who nurtures, grows, and harvests our food. Join us in celebrating the farmers who nourish us all today and every day.
About us
We are proud to be named one of the BEST PLACES TO WORK in the DC metro area by the Washington Business Journal. Founding Farmers Restaurant Group is a concept development and restaurant management company. Our collection of restaurants is owned by more than 50,000 family farmers of the North Dakota Farmers Union, serving American inspired food and drink with an emphasis on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn’t mean we know every farm, and that doesn’t mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain; it does mean we’re working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We’re serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty. Currently, our restaurants include flagship location Founding Farmers DC, MoCo's Founding Farmers, Founding Farmers Tysons, Founding Farmers King of Prussia, Founding Farmers Reston Station, Founding Farmers and Distillers, and Founding Farmers Fishers Bakers.

Ever wonder how our scratch-made dishes and craft cocktails maintain their consistency across our locations? Take a peek behind the curtain at our "Train the Trainer" program in action! Our team members don't just learn new recipes—they become the teachers, sharing their expertise and ensuring every single dish and cocktail meets our standards. When our restaurant teams lead the training, magic happens: confidence builds, skills sharpen, and that authentic Founding Farmers experience gets stronger. Our collaborative approach means every plate that leaves our kitchen and every cocktail that crosses our bar carries the same care and craftsmanship you've come to expect. Because at Founding Farmers, we believe great food starts with great people who are empowered to excel. #FoundingFarmers #TrainTheTrainer #CompanyCulture #TeamExcellence #BehindTheScenes

FFRG goes to NYC! Last weekend, a few of our team members attended The Welcome Conference, hosted by Will Guidara, in New York City. This one-day conference brings together hospitality professionals from all around the world to share ideas, inspire each other, and connect to form a community. The day was full of stellar stories and presentations, and our crew left the conference feeling inspired, ready to bring back what they learned to their restaurant teams. Thank you to The Welcome Conference for putting on such a great event! #WelcomeConference #HospitalityProfessionals #HospitalityIndustry #Conference

Ordering for our Thanksgiving at Home menu is officially underway, and the star of the show? Our Jaindl Turkey Farms turkeys 🦃 This Thanksgiving, we're proud to again be serving Jaindl Farms turkeys from Allentown, Pennsylvania in our restaurant and on our special holidays at home menus. Family-owned and operated for over 85 years, Jaindl Farms is known for raising the gold standard of holiday turkeys. As a mission-driven, sustainably operated restaurant company, we always look to partner with farmers and supplies who share our commitment to the environment, and the Jaindls practice what they preach: they use solar energy, crop rotation, and green space to preserve and honor the land they farm. People aren't just our "secret sauce" — they're everything. Recently, our MoCo team celebrated a milestone that speaks volumes: one of our managers just hit their 10 year anniversary. In an industry where turnover is the norm, this kind of loyalty tells a different story. Our people don't just work here — they grow here, stay here, and thrive here. When people love their job, it's because they feel genuinely valued. And our team? They absolutely are. #RestaurantLeadership #HospitalityIndustry #EmployeeRetention #CompanyCulture #TeamAppreciation
