Ethan Costa first studied Environmental Science, where he was introduced to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and programming. That’s where he discovered his love for coding and using technology to solve real-world problems, which led him to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Today, Ethan works as a ServiceNow Developer for one of our financial services clients. He develops entirely on the ServiceNow platform, using JavaScript for scripting and automation. Tyler Rawlings graduated in Physics with Astrophysics, but discovered his passion for programming during university. That passion led him to join FDM and build a career as a Software Engineer. “The training I received focused on learning to work with COBOL and CICS, and featured a number of core concepts that I would see frequently in my role, such as SQL, XML, JSON and APIs. However, the most valuable skill I developed during the training wasn’t technical. It was learning how to think and approach a problem like a software engineer.” 💼 Now working for one of our banking clients, Tyler has played a key role in several major upgrades to a Mortgage Sales platform. “My proudest moment was when a project I was heavily involved in went live with very minimal post-release fixes required.
