“The world of work is transforming — and so are the ways people build their careers. Apprenticeships, certifications, mentorships and community college partnerships are commonly called alternatives to four-year degrees — but in fact, they’re accelerators for success, offering real pathways to opportunity and mobility.” - Lisa Johnson, Director of the National Institute for Work and Learning at FHI 360 #WorkforceDevelopment #EducationInnovation #CareerPathways #FutureReady 📸 Photo credit: Gabriela Rancier/Productora Comando for FHI 360

🚐 In Ukraine, conflict has weakened health systems, leaving many without essential care. That’s where FHI 360’s mobile medical teams step in. Across the country, 11 teams travel to conflict-affected and remote regions to provide rehabilitative care, restore mobility, and deliver hope. Take Sofiia, 81, from the Kharkiv region. Severe knee and back pain left her homebound and depressed—until she connected with Olena, a rehabilitation specialist on one of our teams. With exercises, ongoing support, and a cane, Sofiia regained her independence in just six weeks. Since launch, our teams have provided care to more than 2,200 people, supported by the U.S. Department of State. 👉 Read Sofiia’s story: https://bit.ly/4nw7PvO #Ukraine #HumanitarianHealth #GlobalHealth #HumanitarianAid

"AI is the biggest disruption that the world is grappling with today –- and one that we need to harness." - Sherry Youssef Younes, Senior Director, Economic Resilience at FHI 360 By 2050, more than 80% of the world’s population will live in developing countries, and 1.2 billion young people will enter a labor market expected to create only 400 million jobs. As World Bank Group President Ajay Banga said, “The energy of these people will define the energy of the next century.” Jobs are the surest path to dignity, stability and growth. As the AI revolution accelerates across every sector and region, the challenge — and opportunity — lies in ensuring that digital transformation translates into meaningful, inclusive employment. FHI 360 is working at the intersection of education, workforce development and digital innovation to help young people build skills, access opportunities, and create the jobs of the future. #WBGMeetings #Jobs #FutureOfWork #EducationToEmployment #GlobalDevelopment 📸: Shahera Youssef Younes

Our CEO, Tessie San Martin, participated in a Fireside Chat with Raj Kumar, President and Editor-in-Chief of Devex, at the 2025 InterAction Forum. The conversation began with Tessie interviewing Raj to gain his global perspective on today’s challenges and opportunities. Then, the tables turned — Raj interviewed Tessie to explore the future of global health and what FHI 360 is seeing on the horizon. Together, they offered a candid, forward-looking discussion on where the global development sector is headed — and how collaboration can help us all do better, together. #GlobalDevelopment #Leadership #HealthSystems #InteractionForum 📸: Danielle Heiberg

As discussions continue at the World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2025 #WBGMeetings, one theme is clear: Blended public-private financing mechanisms are the future. They’re essential to how we build resilient, sustainable systems for health and development. FHI 360 has seen the power of this approach firsthand. Linking market supply and demand for antiretrovirals transformed global access to HIV treatment — driving down the cost per client from tens of thousands to just tens of dollars in many low- and middle-income countries. Through shared-value partnerships, we can align the goals of the public and private sectors to overcome cost and logistical barriers, expand access to innovations and ensure every investment yields lasting impact. At FHI 360, we aim to leverage our global network to bridge the gap between research, product introduction and scale-up. #GlobalDevelopment #GlobalHealth #PublicPrivatePartnerships #FinancingForHealth 📸: World Bank Group
