We are proud to share that Form Energy has been selected as a finalist for The Earthshot Prize 2025! 🌍 Founded by His Royal Highness Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is the world’s leading prize for organizations working to create a better planet. Form Energy’s mission is simple: energy storage for a better world. From the heart of the Rust Belt in Weirton, West Virginia — where we’ve built our first manufacturing facility on the site of a former steel mill — we’re helping to revive American manufacturing and bring innovative new energy technology to life. As we expand beyond the U.S. into new international markets, this recognition will help accelerate that mission – opening doors to new partnerships, projects, and global impact. Developing game-changing tech requires game-changing talent. That's why we're thrilled to welcome Dr Sunoj George to Form Energy as Senior Director of Mechanical Design Engineering - and share that we’re looking for more talented engineers to join his team! Sunoj brings deep experience in battery systems to Form, having previously led propulsion and battery engineering efforts at Rivian, helping bring their first vehicles to the road. Before that, he focused on propulsion technologies at McLaren, known for its high-performance vehicles and successful Formula 1 team. His doctoral work with Jaguar Land Rover centered on developing one of the earliest anti-roll control systems with AI optimization techniques. Over his career, Sunoj has helped bring some of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles and cutting-edge battery technologies to life. Now, he’s bringing that deep technical background to Form - driving critical engineering efforts as we develop the next generation of Form’s multi-day energy storage systems. Why make the leap to grid storage after a career in mobility? In his words: “What Form is doing with iron-air batteries is fundamentally different – truly novel. I’ve spent my career chasing hard engineering problems – but over time, many innovations became incremental. This is a chance to help design and deliver something entirely new, to solve open-ended engineering problems that matter for the future of energy in America and the world. That’s rare. That’s exciting.” Want to work alongside Sunoj and help build the future of energy with multi-day storage?
