  • GCON is excited to announce that it has been acquired by Webcor, a full-service commercial builder headquartered in San Francisco, California.   Through this strategic relationship, Webcor will leverage GCON’s expertise in the technology space to expand into new, high-growth markets, while GCON will benefit from Webcor and its parent company Obayashi’s depth of experience and increased bandwidth to pursue larger projects in GCON's current local and regional technology, healthcare, aviation, commercial and public works markets.   GCON will continue operating as a separate company, retaining its leadership, employees, vision, brand, and Arizona headquarters. GCON and Webcor remain deeply committed to their clients, project partners, and valued teams, setting the stage for a more robust competitive advantage as both companies look forward to mutual growth, strengthened capabilities and expanded reach!

  • GCON is building a new facility at Falcon Field Airport that will expand and modernize current operations critical to providing reliable energy to millions of Arizonans! This is a 43,000 SF hangar that will house three helicopters and one fixed-wing aircraft, along with maintenance bays, a paint booth, machine and battery shops and administration spaces. This facility is designed for longevity with maintenance-free elements like a 16” insulated concrete tilt panel system and fully integral color for all masonry and concrete. Scheduled for completion for December 2025, this work is made possible through the collaboration of our outstanding trade partners! Thank you to Harder Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Riggs Companies, Pete King Construction and ASSA ABLOY Group!

  • GCON had the honor of celebrating the ribbon cutting for the Great Hearts Roosevelt Campus Expansion in Buckeye alongside our incredible partners — Chermack Consulting Group, and Carhuff + Cueva Architects, LLC! Right before students filled the brand-new artificial turf quad, we snapped a quick photo to capture the moment! This expansion was all about creating a space where students can grow, learn and thrive. The new two-story classroom building was constructed right in the heart of an active campus during the school year — a true team effort that prioritized safety, function and design. The project includes: ▪️ Multiple new classrooms ▪️ Science and lab spaces ▪️ Restrooms on both levels ▪️ A passenger elevator and exterior stairs ▪️ A second-floor walkway connecting buildings ▪️ An artificial turf quad with shade canopies, benches, and outdoor games We’re so proud to help bring this vision to life and continue supporting environments where education and communities can flourish. Here's to the future of learning!

  • As National Intern Day recently reminded us of the importance of investing in future talent, we proudly celebrated the culmination of GCON’s Elevate Internship Program. Each of our interns presented their projects and shared their summer experience in front of the entire Arizona team—demonstrating their growth, initiative, and professionalism. We’re incredibly proud of the impact they made in the office and out in the field! We're excited to see what’s next for these future leaders! #GCONElevate #InternshipProgram #GCONProud #FutureLeaders

  • Our Elevate interns covered some major ground visiting two of GCON's biggest jobsites! Starting the day off at the GCON headquarters with our mission critical team to learn about electrical topology, they headed to our data center jobsite in Goodyear. Next stop was our West-MEC site at Agua Fria High School to tour the soon-to-be-state-of-the-art career center. Exposing our interns to the field and immersing them in the diverse work our team does every day allows them to understand the hard and amazing world of construction. What a great cohort we have this year!
