"I love this question because there are so many different departments that require different skill sets, and that means there’s room for everyone. As someone who recruits in the high-volume space at GEICO, I’ve seen candidates from all kinds of backgrounds thrive in roles like claims, customer service, sales, and more. You don’t need a background in insurance to break into the industry. You need a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate, problem-solve, and adapt. We also have a lot of roles where GEICO pays for you to get the required insurance licenses. So don’t let that part intimidate you. You don’t have to come in with everything figured out. We invest in training and development because we understand that great talent doesn’t always come with industry experience. The biggest tip I like to give candidates is to do your research. This month, Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) honored the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation with their 2025 Regina Snowden Founder’s Award, reflecting the hard work and passion of our Achieving Beyond and Lifting Expectations (ABLE) Employee Resource Group. Working together with PYD, we have taken steps to unlock the full potential of young people with disabilities, through mentorship opportunities, career development workshops, leadership programs, and disability and inclusion training courses. We are proud of our unwavering commitment to PYD’s mission and look forward to continuing to cultivate an inclusive environment for all.

Happy #EarthDay! GEICO employees have been celebrating Earth Month with our annual Let’s Go Green campaign. We’ve had a number of events throughout the month, including flexing our green thumbs this week at countrywide seed-planting events. We’re proud to do our part, and to help provide a variety of opportunities for our employees to support the environment, and by rewarding them with fun prizes and new flowerpots. By fostering new connections with nature, we’re also strengthening our connections as teammates.

This Women’s History Month, GEICO Reaching Out to Women (GROW), one of our Employee Resource Groups, hosted volunteer events at multiple Dress for Success locations. Our employees worked together to assemble over 300 “Success Bags” filled with supplies for women embarking on new career journeys.   From clothing drives and fundraisers to leadership events like Women Who Inspire, our decade-long partnership with Dress for Success Worldwide has given our team the opportunity to bond while contributing to women’s economic development. We are inspired by all our charitable partners’ wide-ranging work and are proud that our culture of volunteerism helps our employees give back to the community. #WomensHistoryMonth #LifeAtGEICO
