Remediation Geology training on Geologic Data Collection for Remediation Projects and a short primer on Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy (ESS) presented by Geosyntec Consultants own Colin Plank. It is a free, easy to register, easy to navigate online course. Dr. Jessica Meyer is the Principal Investigator of this ESTCP-funded project. Colin Plank, CPG is co-investigator and Mike Shultz and Rick Cramer are part of the team along with Chuck Newell of GSI. After decades, we can now say... FINALLY, no more logging “soils”, we’re logging geology! Link to online course that just went live this week! https://bit.ly/43bhh01

Today I spent the day alongside Emily Stahl and Kevin Dolishny at the Waterloo Wellington Children's Groundwater Festival teaching children about how wells work and the importance of groundwater to our region! I first volunteered for the festival in when I was in high-school, and the festival was just getting started. It was the first step on my path to becoming a hydrogeologist. Was great to be back again!! #Geosyntec #groundwater

What does it look like when you gather 100+ top water, natural resources, data and information management scientists and engineers together? At Geosyntec Consultants it looks like this, or at least it did last week during our annual internal Action Group Conference in Louisville Kentucky. This year we were privileged to welcome attendees from throughout the US and Canada as well as colleagues from Dubai and Australia! The project highlights, strategy sessions, and networking really highlighted the diversity of our people and practices while reinforcing the underlying threads of technical excellence and passion for the work that help tie us together. My favorites in no particular order included: · Hearing about the awesome #Coastal and #Maritime work that Sam Phlegar and Filipe Vieira, PhD are doing, · Catching up on recent #AI developments and investments that our company is making in using AI the right way with Dan Pankani and Manu Srivastava, · Connecting with our growing team of #Ecologists and #Nature Based Solution practitioners like Joshua Gilman and David Vance, and · Discussing #Groundwater Management and #Agriculture solutions with Kelsey Mach, LG, CWRE and Daniel Chang. Another great conference thanks to the organization by Julie Walters, CPSWQ and support of our leadership team including CFO Jonathan Doros who joined us in person for the full two days!
