It takes innovative technology and the passion of a dedicated team to meet the growing demand for reliable, affordable energy. The energy challenge isn’t limited to big cities – fast growing and rural communities need the same resilience and opportunity. That’s what drives our work with Oglethorpe Power Corporation in Georgia, where GE Vernova will provide two gas turbines, two steam turbines, and a steam generator for a new power plant in Monroe County. A project of this scale could not only supply more dependable electricity – it could also bring more than 1,200 construction jobs to the area when the plant is up and running. “We’re proud to support Oglethorpe Power and its members in meeting the state’s growing energy demands by delivering equipment able to produce reliable electricity powered by our cutting-edge and highly efficient technology.” says David Ross, the chief executive of GE Vernova’s Gas Power Americas region. At GE Vernova, the #EnergyOfChange is the relentless optimism that leads breakthrough ideas — and our people see it in their work every day. Here’s how a few of our colleagues around the world describe what it means to them: ✨For Hassina SAAD (France), the Energy of Change is all about being surrounded by bright and energetic teams. ✨ Brian Moran (U.S.) said building a better planet for future generations through reliable energy and bold innovations is what he sees as the Energy of Change. ✨ Nick Kolbas (U.S.) highlighted the collaboration with MIT and GE Vernova. For him, being a part of a partnership that combines world-class research with advanced technology to accelerate innovation is not only inspiring — it’s energizing. This week’s shares remind us that while we may see the #EnergyOfChange in different ways, we’re united by the same mission: to electrify so communities can thrive and to decarbonize the planet. #GEVernovaProud

The MIT-GE Vernova Energy and Climate Alliance welcomed the American Conservation Coalition and some amazing energy leaders to MIT this week to tour their innovation labs and discuss how we can build the energy workforce of the future. Thanks to Secretary Chris Wright, Ernest J. Moniz, Christopher Barnard, Ann Bluntzer, PhD, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the fantastic event. #FutureOfEnergy #EnergyWorkforce #MITxGEVernova
As our first official engagement together, the MIT-GE Vernova Energy and Climate Alliance was honored to welcome Secretary Chris Wright Ernest J. Moniz and a fantastic lineup of energy leaders to campus Monday. These leaders shared some of the amazing research and innovation happening at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and inspired future leaders to dedicate their careers to innovating and delivering technology to solve for energy abundance and decarbonization. I was honored to share GE Vernova’s own commitment to make history together through this partnership to deliver breakthrough technologies and inspire the future leaders of energy. I’m always thankful for the privilege of joining inspiring leaders dedicated to student engagement who I admire so much including including Christopher Barnard of the American Conservation Coalition, Ann Bluntzer, PhD of the Hamm Institute for American Energy, MIT President Sally Kornbluth and Provost Anantha Chandrakasan and a panel of MIT alumni on this critical topic. The engagement and innovation that will come from the next generation of energy leaders is absolutely critical, and days like this show us all just how important that next generation will be in finding solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges. We look forward to the MIT-GE Vernova alliance continuing to host important conversations, helping build the energy workforce of the future. #WorkforceDevelopment #EnergyOfChange #MITGEVernova
