What a milestone for Central Asia–GCC collaboration at GITEX GLOBAL 2025. Our presence this year wasn’t about representation — it was about impact and proving that Central Asia is ready to play on the global innovation stage. Together with DIFC Innovation Hub , we’re shaping the tech future of Central Asia and the GCC. At the “Unlocking Central Asia” event, over 120 investors and tech leaders from MENA joined us to strengthen regional collaboration. With Astana Hub and White Hill Capital we launched the Tumar Innovation Hub to connect founders and investors across both regions. The momentum continued at the IGNYTE Challenge Demo Day, where fintech Dhahaby won from 400+ applicants, earning a $10,000 grant and announcing its Uzbekistan expansion, a clear sign of growing trust and partnership. Meanwhile, the Central Asian Innovation Hubs booth, co-organized by IT PARK Uzbekistan and Astana Hub, featured 10 standout startups —GEOMOTIVE, #Gluon, BRB-TECH, Delever, Fleetroot, ioka, Finflow, eXpace, askAlem, and Qulla AI. During #GITEX, we held a series of high-level meetings with government and institutional partners to explore future collaborations across various sectors. 1️⃣ Follow-up meeting with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism #MOET We discussed outcomes from the Korea–UAE Business Council held in September and extended an invitation to #NextRise 2026 for further collaboration opportunities. 2️⃣ Meeting with GITEX organizer #DWTC: Following our meetings last year and this year, we continued discussions on strengthening cooperation between the startup platforms of both countries. Special thanks to Rupert Adam,Dmitry Lazarenko for taking the time to meet during one of the busiest weeks of the year. 3️⃣ Additional meeting with the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry : We held follow-up talks after the Korea–UAE Business Council and discussed organizing a joint session with the Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah Chambers of Commerce. 4️⃣ Meeting with Dubai Expo City Urban Lab team: Andrew Cockburn and I have been working together since the Milton Keynes City PoC in London. In Dubai, we’re continuing this partnership through a series of exciting projects — two Korean companies are already conducting PoCs 😄 . 5️⃣ Middle East Open Innovation Summit: For the second consecutive year, KITA and #KOCCA co-hosted the Open Innovation Summit, bringing together key stakeholders from the Middle East to support Korean companies’ expansion into the region. 6️⃣ MOU Signing between KITA and #Dtec (Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus) On October 14, KITA and Dtec signed an MOU to strengthen collaboration in proof-of-concept (#PoC) programs. Both institutions bring extensive experience in supporting startups through validation and market-entry testing, and this partnership will further enhance joint efforts to facilitate innovation-driven cooperation. #GITEX #UAE #Innovation #Dubai
