GLG returned to JPM in San Francisco last week – always a special occasion to explore where the healthcare industry is headed and connect with the people driving it forward. This year, conversations on the ground confirmed what we've been hearing from experts and leaders in this space: the industry is rife with promise and innovation. Between a rise in healthcare dealmaking, evolving regulatory policy, and emerging consumer trends – not to mention AI everywhere – we're eager to help our clients capitalize on the opportunities ahead. 📸 And, of course, the trip wouldn't have been complete without our signature reception with clients, experts, and friends. Cheers to everyone we saw in sunny San Francisco – we can't wait to spend more time in the city as soon as our newest office opens downtown! #JPMHealth #JPM26 #JPM2026

👀 "Attention is currency." In today's ever-evolving media landscape, GLG expert and author of "Ethical AI in Marketing," Nicole Alexander says that capturing consumers' increasingly sporadic attention comes down to authenticity, transparent values, and a clear ethos. Discerning consumers expect brands to mean what they say, and to back up their messaging with actions that align with their values. For Nicole, being able to meet those expectations is what separates brands that last from those that simply perform.   “Creating a storyline that resonates with your target audience is powerful, but it's only the starting point. What matters next is understanding why it worked and how to responsibly sustain that engagement.”

When it comes to ethical risks, an ironclad AI policy might give administrators peace of mind – but its benefits to your company will likely end there. At least that’s what AI ethicist and GLG expert Reid Blackman, Ph.D. says.   According to Reid, a philosophy and ethics PhD, the enterprise governance practices we’re accustomed to are too slow and rigid to manage a technology as dynamic and complex as AI.    He joined us at a recent Events for Experts to explain why more companies are taking AI ethics seriously, how the right implementation can create a competitive advantage, and how his approach can help companies avoid common pitfalls along the way.

“Investors should remember that AI is an evolving tool, not a silver bullet,” says GLG expert Paul Martino. 🩺 We’re only just starting to see AI’s impact on the healthcare industry. The future will be defined by innovative leaders who balance boldness with a resolve to win – that includes pushing for innovations that may be “invisible” to patients, but significant to operational efficiency. GLG New York recently welcomed leading voices in the healthcare space to speak to clients, experts, and colleagues about the ongoing technological advancements altering the industry. Special thanks to the experts who led roundtables and joined a panel discussion, moderated by GLGers Farhan Syed and Mary Figuers Stallings: 👉 Dr. Doug Kondziolka, Vice-Chair, Clinical Research (Neurosurgery) and Director of Advanced Radiosurgery at NYU Langone Medical Center 👉 Paul Martino, Founder of VillageMD 👉 Prashanth Sarpamale, CEO at Althea.AI and former Chief Data Analytics Officer at Oak Street Health

Since GLG's founding more than 25 years ago, we've been proud to call New York City home.    It was a pleasure to join Jane Fraser, Governor Hochul, and other leaders at the Partnership for New York City's Women's Leadership Breakfast to discuss the city’s future – and a special honor to address those in the room on how businesses like GLG can contribute.    Thank you to Citi for hosting, Kathy Wylde for the invite, and Cathy Engelbert, Lynn Martin, Jessica Tisch, Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, Neena Reddy, Laura A. Clayton McDonnell and Julie Menin for their perspectives. 📸 Susan Watts
