We are the experts in expertise – the largest, most trusted network in the industry we created more than 25 years ago. A lot has changed since then, but one thing hasn’t. Investors, consultants, and decision-makers across industries still rely on GLG to help them deploy capital, assess potential opportunities, and reduce their risk. In New York, Austin, and London, leaders from around the business shared a vision for the future. One that puts a premium on trust and human intelligence, while meeting the expectations of speed and capability shared by our clients and experts. We announced meaningful investments in tools and technology that will expand our offerings, accelerate our clients' research, and empower our teams to deliver faster, more precise matches. And we asked some of our most successful GLGers to share their experiences taking on new roles and opportunities as well as their proudest moments at the company and the projects that changed how they think about client service. We also heard from hospitality veterans Richard Coraine and Patti Simpson of Union Square Hospitality Group, endurance athlete Robyn Benincasa, and sports psychologist Jamil Qureshi on what it means to go above and beyond for your customers and lessons of high-performing teams. Each drew from their very different careers to shed light on reaching your individual and collective potential. In moments of increased uncertainty, our clients need access to critical insights from leading experts more than ever, and GLG has never been more ready or excited to do just this. Thank you to all our speakers for reminding us what makes delivering for clients so rewarding and why GLG is such a great place to launch your career. Speakers pictured include GLG CEO Gemma Postlethwaite, Global Head of Financial Services Sam McBride-Wright, Global Head of Professional Service Firms Jennifer Manning, Chief Strategy Officer Cameron Foster, and Chief Product Officer John Londono.

"It’s a true conversation," aviation expert Ben Sehovic says about calls with GLG clients. "I find it fun."   Ben’s passion for aviation goes back to his first plane ride when he was two. It’s driven him to become British Airways’ youngest C-level leader and go on to start his own consultancy in the space. It has also brought him to GLG’s network, where he helps clients untangle the complexities of airport and flight operations. The behind-the-scenes systems that make investors and consultants scratch their heads are exactly what fascinate Ben.   "I’ll never get bored of those types of conversations."   And while clients' sharp questions make every call interesting, GLG's smooth service makes the experience easy, he told us.

The most critical decisions require expertise. At GLG, we’re committed to helping you cut through the noise and get the insights you need to act incisively, with speed. One of the ways we do this is by ensuring our tools are tech-enabled, powerful, and intuitive. Last week, we launched the new myGLG, which makes it even easier for our clients to find the right experts and surface insights. Users can now search our network directly, launch projects immediately, and schedule experts seamlessly – which all happens alongside receiving tailored recommendations from our dedicated team of service professionals. And after calls are completed, you can quickly extract takeaways, summaries, and more from one or multiple transcripts. The new myGLG is just another way we’re making sure our clients stay ahead. If you have questions, or would like a demo, don’t hesitate to reach out to your GLG account manager directly. https://ter.li/f0cgul

Global Head | Professional Service Firms

GLG has always been synonymous with service, something I’ve known since 2009 when I walked into our Dublin office for the first time as a Research Associate.   For 16 years, GLG has taken me from Dublin to Paris and more recently, London. A few weeks ago, our teams came together in New York and Austin to celebrate the next step in our evolution and growth. As Head of our Professional Services Firms practice, I know first-hand how the world’s best management consultancies use GLG. There is no one answer or solution. Our clients operate differently, and we adapt to their workflows accordingly.   As the expectations of GLG’s largest and most active users evolve, we’re investing significantly to prepare our client service teams for the next chapter of growth. Equipping them with new tools and technology to deliver faster, more precise matches, expand our offerings, and accelerate our customers’ research capabilities.   It was an immense pleasure to join Gemma, Sam, Cameron & John to share this journey that we are embarking on together over the coming months. Thank you to all our speakers and panelists for reminding us what makes client service so rewarding, and why GLG is as great place to start your career - as it was for me.

"You need to talk to people who've lived it over decades," GLG expert Drew Thurlow tells us. "You can't get that from large language models – and you can't get that from doing your research on [traditional media] outlets," he warns. For Drew Thurlow, the knowledge gaps investors and strategy leaders face are clear. He speaks to them every day. "Some of these conversations I really, really enjoy." Questions raised present opportunities for him to think and learn more about the industry he's in, following years at record labels, music tech startups, and streaming platforms. Drew helps GLG clients make sense of the new music economy, from streaming to copyright law to AI policy and how licensing deals are changing the equation for major labels.

It’s clear GLG experts are eager to grow their relationship with us. So we asked a couple longtime experts to give some guidance on making the most of your experience. Adam Nemer, Angela Brunk, and I took turns answering some of the hundreds of questions that came in over the course of the hour-long conversation, which included more than 1,500 (!) experts. Adam and Angie had so many great ideas and recommendations. I’ve listed a few of my favorites: Project question responses are your first impression to GLG clients • Be as transparent as you can when answering questions for project requests. Use the comment section to explain the perspective you bring to a project. Your answers are your first impression to GLG clients. Take the time to answer them clearly and be honest when you can’t speak to certain topics. Responsiveness matters • When you get a project request from GLG, remember that GLG clients are looking for help now. Respond quickly and explain why you are best positioned to speak on the project topic. GLG Experts learn as much from clients as clients learn from them • I thought Adam put it well when he said GLG calls actually satisfy his intellectual curiosity and even help support his well-being. As a lifelong teacher, Angie agrees and says there’s satisfaction in teaching clients and helping them be more successful. ABL (always be learning!) • Learning and staying current in your respective industry is key to your success and growth as an expert. Read everything you can, take courses, and learn from the questions GLG clients are asking. Oh, and regularly attend GLG’s Events for Experts. Exclusive programming for GLG experts covering a range of industry specific and professional development topics. That one’s mine 😊 If you didn’t have a chance to join us live, here’s a link to the full recording: https://lnkd.in/gKEXRyVh and if you have any advice you’d like to share let us know in the comments!

Global Head of Financial Services at GLG

Proud of this team. Great joining so many GLG colleagues in London, Austin, and New York this month to learn from one another about going above and beyond for our customers and the projects that changed how we think about client service. At GLG, we’ve spent years helping investment professionals get answers to questions they didn’t even know to ask. We pride ourselves on being an essential part of their workflow, and our ability to adapt, adjust, and anticipate the needs of our clients. Time and again, colleagues who’ve been with us for years end up staying with their clients through promotions, job changes, and relocations, growing alongside one another together well into their careers. We’ve made significant investment in new tools to empower our teams to deliver faster, more precise matches. Technology enables us, but our client service teams make us who we are. I’m a big believer that how you serve is often as important as what you serve. A theme we kept coming back to in our discussions, echoed by our great speakers – hospitality executives Richard Coraine and Patti Simpson. Thank you for your inspiring words that touched on the heart of what we do. Thank you to all the GLGers who joined us and to Gemma, Jennifer, Cameron, Lee, Eu-Gene and John for your ongoing partnership and leadership.

Happy SXSW to all who celebrate! 🤠 We had a great time hosting GLG experts for breakfast in our Austin office. It’s always so special to gather in person.   A few takeaways from our conversations:   - GLG experts really do love talking to our clients. They also look forward to connecting with one another. We’re committed to bringing our experts together more in person in the year ahead.   - There’s a ton of excitement for the new digital experience we’ve been working on for our experts. (More on that later!)   - When in doubt, order more breakfast tacos. If you’re thinking 200, think more.   A HUGE thank you to everybody who was able to come by. If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a GLG expert, please reach out to me.

Executive Vice President, Head of Asia Pacific at GLG

GLG has called Sydney home for more than 15 years.   Our presence in Australia’s premier city has long put GLG teams closer to the clients and experts we work with every day.    I had the pleasure of meeting several key clients in Sydney. It was clear from our conversations just how much end-to-end service with local presence matters as well as the value of GLG experts in times of elevated uncertainty.   Also heard from our Sydney-based experts, many of whom have shared their knowledge with us for years including what it means to be a GLG expert firsthand. I previewed the tools we’re rolling out later this year that will make their experience even better. We'll bring our experts together to connect and hear from one another in more cities in the coming months. Stay tuned.   Finally, I was impressed by the dedication of our local client service teams who make the matches, recruit timely new experts, and keep our clients one step ahead. It was great to join ANZ Head Gerald Ferguson to celebrate the team’s continued success and thank him for his ongoing leadership.   Asia Pacific remains a critical part of GLG’s strategy and we continue to hire client service professionals across the region. We are committed to deepening our relationships and delivering the best experience possible for our experts and clients.
