We are excited to congratulate Consolidated Edison of New York (Con Edison) for being recognized with the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗜𝗨𝗖𝗫 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Con Edison developed a state-of-the-art Outage Communications Messaging Center (OCMC) to transform how they deliver emergency and outage notifications to their 3.7 million customers across New York City and Westchester County. Built in direct response to customer feedback, the OCMC enables Con Edison to send rapid, multichannel messages - via SMS, email, and AI-generated voice calls - almost instantly, streamlining what once was a fragmented and manual process. This new platform empowers customers to receive timely updates through their preferred channels and has already proven invaluable during major events, such as water main breaks that impacted gas and electric services during this past winter, by keeping thousands of customers informed and supported in real time. The OCMC not only accelerates communication but also enhances operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. By consolidating previously disjointed systems and introducing advanced features like AI-powered text-to-speech and self-service campaign management, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 - even during challenging outages.
