We are proud to share that the GRPM's Vice President of Digital Strategy, Josh Freeney, was invited to participate in this enlightening conversation around artificial intelligence at The National Educational Telecommunications Association Conference! Freeney leads the GRPM's PublicOS project, providing young innovators with a safe online platform to explore digital skills, gain confidence, and increase their digital literacy.
Community, transformation, complexities, interconnectedness, and education were prominent throughout this week's 2025 NETA Conference. Eric Hyyppa's closing keynote was a powerful reminder of the strength of community, leading into our panel discussion exploring strategies for amplifying a human-centered approach to #AI focused on local contexts and serving communities. Christopher Brennan Howard Pyle and Joshua Freeney shared lessons learned with much of the conversation focusing on human connection and shared experiences and the opportunities and risks of AI within the public media space. Pete Bombaci, they had me thinking a lot about the work of GenWell and the Human Connection Movement. Thank you Timothy Eernisse for the invitation to not only moderate this panel, but to engage with and be part of the NETA community in meaningful and impactful ways.
