At GrantWorks, we’re proud to have several Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs) on our team, meaning professionals who help communities break the costly cycle of flood damage and rebuilding. One of those is Allison Land, CFM, a Senior Community Development Project Manager with more than a decade of experience supporting local governments, state agencies, and private organizations. The Floodplain Manager certification is nationally recognized and requires rigorous testing and ongoing education, ensuring that communities benefit from the latest strategies in flood risk reduction and resilience planning. As a CFM, Allison brings specialized knowledge in regulatory compliance to every project. She oversees public infrastructure construction projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), and her expertise helps communities grow in ways that balance development needs with infrastructure considerations. We’re grateful for Allison’s leadership and commitment to forward-thinking community development. Because that's #TheGrantWorksWay. #WeAreGrantWorks #GrantWorksCares #TeamGrantWorks #EmployeeSpotlight #CertifiedFloodplainManager #CommunityDevelopment #FloodResilience #DisasterRecovery

Congratulations to the City of Kilgore, Texas, on being awarded a $2.5 million #EDA grant! This funding will support the construction of a secondary truck route for Phase 5 of Kilgore's 672-acre Synergy Park, add critical redundancy to the water distribution system, and extend utilities to areas not yet served by water and wastewater infrastructure within the business park. GrantWorks is honored to have supported this successful effort and is excited to continue working alongside the Kilgore community as these improvements pave the way for stronger infrastructure and long-term economic growth. #WeAreGrantWorks #TheGrantWorksWay #GrantWorksCares #Kilgore #KilgoreTX #EconomicDevelopment #InfrastructureInvestment #CommunityGrowth

GrantWorks at the Brazosport Business Roundtable On September 18, Rebecca Whitlock, our Senior Director of FEMA Hazard Mitigation, was invited as a guest speaker at the Brazosport Business Roundtable, where she delivered what Judge Jack Brown (Precinct 1, Place 1 Justice of the Peace Court) called one of the most impactful presentations the Roundtable has ever hosted. Her engaging and informative session focused on the Elevation & Reconstruction Program in Brazoria County, highlighting the strength of GrantWorks’ partnership with the County and the many success stories made possible through collaboration and dedication. In recognition of this outstanding contribution, the GrantWorks team was honored as Vice Presidents of the Brazosport Business Roundtable, a title we’re proud to carry. We’re grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to continuing our work together. #TheGrantWorksWay #WeAreGrantWorks #ElevationProgram #Reconstruction #FEMA #BrazoriaCounty #PublicService #CommunityResilience #LeadershipInAction
