At GrantWorks, we’re proud to have several Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs) on our team, meaning professionals who help communities break the costly cycle of flood damage and rebuilding. One of those is Allison Land, CFM, a Senior Community Development Project Manager with more than a decade of experience supporting local governments, state agencies, and private organizations. The Floodplain Manager certification is nationally recognized and requires rigorous testing and ongoing education, ensuring that communities benefit from the latest strategies in flood risk reduction and resilience planning. As a CFM, Allison brings specialized knowledge in regulatory compliance to every project. She oversees public infrastructure construction projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), and her expertise helps communities grow in ways that balance development needs with infrastructure considerations. Congratulations to the City of Kilgore, Texas, on being awarded a $2.5 million #EDA grant! This funding will support the construction of a secondary truck route for Phase 5 of Kilgore's 672-acre Synergy Park, add critical redundancy to the water distribution system, and extend utilities to areas not yet served by water and wastewater infrastructure within the business park.
